After a while of walking, Halle came up on a site that was all too familiar to her. It was the original park's visitor's center. The memories that came flooding back shook her a little, but she tried to stay strong so her and her niece could get back to the park.

"You still got your phone on you?" she asked the teenager.

"Yeah," Aniya answered, pulling it out to check its battery life. "eighty percent."

"Perfect. We might need its flashlight if we find anything."

They ventured for a good while around the parts of the center that were still intact. Most of it was overrun by the jungle from time left uninhabited. It wasn't until Halle saw one of the park's old wranglers that she really felt nostalgic. The colors popped out against its dull surroundings – sand beige.

"You remember when I taught you how to fix up my old Malibu?" Halle asked.

Aniya looked to her and smiled.

"Yeah."

"Looks like you're gonna need to remember that right about now..."

The ladies opened the hood of the car and marveled at its engine. It was still in pretty good shape for it to be as old as it was. With a few minutes of minor tinkering, the car could be functional enough to get them back to the park.

"You think it's out there?" Aniya asked after a while of her and Halle working on the car.

"Honestly," Halle answered, "there's no telling where it is now. I just hope it's nowhere near the main part of the park."

"How come you didn't recognize it? When we first saw it in the jungle."

"I'm not over the lab department, so unlike your Aunt Chloe, I have no idea what species they generate outside of the ones I've already cared for and looked after. If anything, this proves that the people in our lab have a little too much freedom."

After a couple more minutes of working, the two ladies looked at their handy work.

"All right," Halle said. "I think that should do it. Let's turn it over."

Aniya started the car, and at the sound of the engine roaring to life, her and Halle smiled wide.

"It works!" Aniya exclaimed.

"Let's get back to the park," Halle smiled.

Back in the control room, Lowery, Vivian, and the rest of the team try to make sense of everything that's been happening.

"Every time this thing kills," Lowery said, "it moves further south. It's headed right for the park."

"Why would she come here?" Masrani asked.

"She can sense thermal radiation," Vivian answered. "Our emergency measures just put all the warm bodies in one place."

Out of nowhere, in came Hoskins, as confident as ever.

"InGen," he said, getting right to the point, "Hoskins."

Masrani eyed him skeptically.

"I know who you are," the park owner said.

"Then you know why I'm here," Hoskins said. "I've been working for two years on an application for those raptors. They can hunt and kill that creature."

"But your program was to test their intelligence."

"Yeah, it was. And we did. And in the process, we learned something. They follow orders. You see, the solution to your crisis is standing right in front of you."
