Otohime POV:
After taking the young child from Fisher Tiger, I had brought him to the palace in hopes to give him a nice home to sleep in. Upon arrival, I had been met with my husband and his ministers.
"My queen, do you know what had the people all in a fuss this morning?"
"I do. It was this child." Neptune and both Ministers looked at the boy with curiosity. "This child was the sole survivor of a shipwreck on a ship owned by a the World Noble. As I had discovered, he doesn't have a home."
"Then it may be best to send him to a human orphanage." A Fishman that looked like an eel we knew as Minister of the Left stated while another that looked like a seahorse called Minister of the Right agreed.
"I do not think that will work so well, Minister of the Left. This boy was sold by humans to become that which they will judge. Even if that wasn't the case, I do not believe he will have any forms of peace with humanity as a whole."
"So what do you suggest, your majesty?" The Right Minister asked.
"....I shall take care of him."
"What!?"
"Your majesty, that is ludicrous!"
"My queen, I do not think our people will willingly stand with your decision. He as you stated was a slave and is a human much less."
"I am doing this because this boy needs a mother! Not for any other reason. If we were to give him to humans again, he will be judged and outcasted because of him not having a quirk as they predominantly do. You can tell me it isn't necessary, but leaving this child would be no differen than what his own family have done." I refused to accept no as an answer for this with my husband thinking this over for a few moments.
"Very well *sigh*, but we must do something if he does grow up and attacks a citizen."
"He will not. I will make certain of that." I had created an air bubble for the boy before bringing him towards another room to rest. Upon doing so, I was able to see my children come up and welcome me home.
