As the first term of UA came to a close, Izuku had witnessed a rather interesting ordeal of his twin sister Izumi being expelled. In a way to help cope and comprehend his new situation, he was brought on a date with several of his female classmates. Here, he explained a tale of him and Shyarly that helped them see how committed he is to his people and the mermaid herself.

Reiju POV:

It's been a little over a week since the ordeal at the cafe with Izuku's little stunt with his sister for him to seem on a positive upward swing. Though through all of this, I've had my own complications predominantly from my father constantly demanding me to get a sample of Izuku's DNA. Today, I decided to talk with Shyarly about the complications and have her verdict on it.

"So your father wants DNA from Izuku for his cloning ordeals."

"Yes." Shyarly blew a bit of smoke out as I tried to address my concerns. "I understand asking Izuku for this will be wrong, but there's little I'm capable of doing to prevent my father from demanding this. As such, I was going to offer him a drink and try to get him to calm down before I asked him for it while also explaining my situation."

"....I wouldn't give Izuku a drink."

"Why?" This comment raised a question for Shyarly to explain.

"He's a very lightweight person and when he gets drunk it's a little...let's just say it's messy."

"But how do you want me to get him in a calm state from this?"

"Maybe appeal to his most primal bits. Men do see you as an attractive person to get into bed with and you don't use that on Izuku. Maybe try that with him. I'll even share my perfume he loves if you want."

"You're...oddly taking this well."

"I'm aware of the situation with your family and the hierarchy you have. Though I do not think you should do this, it is entirely up to you on whether or not you decide to go through with this. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going out with Otama to pick up a few stories to help her read." Shyarly left after this with the thoughts on what to do being no different than before.

'Eventually it'll come to the point doing something will keep the peace. Might as well see if I can do something to avoid it getting worse.'

Later that evening

Sitting down after putting Otama to bed, I was able to have a talk alone with Izuku. "So you wanted to discuss some things?"

"Yes. I wanted to discuss what your forward plans would be after we have the marriage soon."

"I honestly haven't thought that far. I was more looking at the situations with where we are right now to reach an end goal." Izuku seemed to have not thought far ahead as he normally would to begin pondering this.

"Would you please care to enlighten me about your plans thus far?"

"They're not that detailed."

"But talking them through and getting a person of a different opinion's perspective helps hammer out the complications." I got up and went into the kitchen. "Would you like some tea while we talk?"

"Might as well. You want me to help."

"I can handle it myself." As I was talking with Izuku, I pulled out a small bottle of vodka and started mixing a tiny bit with his tea. 'This is a little sneaky, but I'd rather him not know exactly why I need the DNA. And if one thing leads to another well...I'll consider that my punishment for the underhanded method.'

I stirred the tea up to incorporate the alcohol a bit better before bringing it out towards Izuku. I hoped the strength of the tea specifically was going to overcome any tastes with him drinking it without problems. For the next few minutes, Izuku started explaining his methods and logic to do what he planned with no real effects. He kept drinking from his tea as well to be about halfway done before showing some odd features. "Do....do you think I'm a bad father figure to Otama?"
