Being carried is one of the worst signs for a soldier. During war it usually means that one has lost a part of his body or worse death is upon you.

The violent images of the whole experience begin to randomly appear in front of your eyes and guilt starts to crumble the heart.

Mercy is no more when it is every man for himself, friendly fire may also happen when friends turn foes.

Blacked out with no sense active, Apex felt like the world was coming to an end. All those movies he watched when he was young, never once he thought it would also happen to him. But in the movies somehow they always find a cure and be heroes but reality they were the opposite.

Trying to find it himself, the courage to wake up and return to the world, dismantling his thoughts that kept him from moving forward with life. All the mistakes he made- killing innocent on orders, covering their mistakes by silencing others. All those children that died instantly reminded him on how his father lost his life.

Having no sense of touch, he had no idea his eyes began to water and tears threatened to flow.

Slowly, the cold air passing through his ears began to whistle, and loud sound of the heart rate monitor pierced through his ears. Various voices shouting at the top of their lungs in many languages none which were familiar.

His eyes fluttered open, revealing a wrinkled face with white hair. His eyes determined to get a result and his eyes could not accept defeat.
Bringing closer his arms which each held a square metal surface which looked like an iron.

"3, 2, 1 Go!" and the old man hit his chest causing a tingling sensation through his body. The sparks made his muscles feel alive and in no time he felt control over his body.

The stinking smell of bleach hit his nose, and he knew he could rise. Quickly trying to get up from the soft comfy bed, a two hands caught his chest and pulled him down. "You need to stay calm and relax Apex!" shouted one of the doctors.

"He is stabilising, call Harun and tell him to come immediately" barked one of the guards.

In the narrow hallways, the red carpet had been set, spread around paving the way for the Director to go through. It has been 10 years since the bombing of 9/11 and the CIA were celebrating another year of no attacks since then.

The military began to slowly appear with tanks and armed vehicles accompanying behind them. Helicopters taking position and the army began to go through formation and standing in position. The whole country was going to watch it, live coverage was being provided exclusively by CNN. The cameras setting up in various locations with microphones and various other recording devices were set up closing by the podium for the speech the Director was delivering.

"In a few minutes, here live the Director of CIA Mr. Estes will walk down the red carpet and deliver his speech to the Americans. Unfortunately the president will not be able to make it as he is on his tour of Europe." the news anchor began reporting.

"What is going on with Apex?" asked the CEO while watching the news unhappy at how events are turning out for his undercover agent.

"We trained him for this, shock pain anger anxiety depression! Why on earth is he not managing it!" frustrated he shouted slamming his table causing the various papers to fly away.

As the shiny limousine came to sight, the march began. The military began to parade marching with their guns in position.

The limo pulled up close to the main entrance. Two men in uniform opened the door. A tall figure got out, wearing a suit and a few Medal of Honor.
