The smile plastered on Sergeant Garcia's face was still on Apex's mind. Several mixed thoughts poured inside him.

Will he be able to survive the ruthless heartless monsters?
Will he be able to make his late father proud?

"Apex! Apex! Over here!" a female voice called him, waking him up from his thoughts.

It was very unusual for a female officer to be at Atlas mainly due to the fact that they are usually hired for office duties and not soldier ones. It was a policy in Atlas.

Standing from the cement made bench that was placed exactly at the center of the training camp, a huge plot of land that was empty other than barb wires, holes, tires half buried in the ground and other training equipments, Apex went towards the voice; following it passing by the brown grass which died out due to training and going towards the Stable- not a horse's one but rather a soldier's.

He got closer, and the view began to emerge as the Stable all made of wood with a roofing on top and 6 pillars holding it, sides all open, came into sight. Inside was a huge wooden table for 8 placed with pens, rulers, and candles placed on it.

Looking closer to the female, he noticed her blonde hair and blue eyes which looked right at him. With huge biceps, she wasn't very tall; only a few centimetres shorter than him.

Standing up from the table, she placed her hand to her head and clicked her boots to salute Apex. "Special Agent Apex, I am Sergeant Emily Storm. I am going to be your trainer."

A huge laugh was heard from the stable, causing all the soldiers to stop for a moment and stare at the glares Emily had been giving Apex, as he continued to roar hysterically since the fun was over. "You are going to train me? You as in a women are going to train the Son of the Hero of America?" he said as he continued to laugh.

All the fear that Emily had were now true; all the stories she had heard about how he was stubborn, hated to be taught by females and how he never listened to anyone.

"Sit down, Apex!" ordered Emily to only see Apex jump around. Rage filled her eyes and all the respect she had was all lost as this time she was out to teach him a lesson.

Running towards him, she grabbed his right arm and pulling it to his shoulders, kicking his left leg to cause him to loose balance and fall as she locked his arm between her legs. "You sit or I make you, Special Agent Apex!"

"You sit or I make you Special Agent Apex!" mimicked Apex in a girlish voice to receive an eye roll from Emily.

"You will be under my guidance for 3 months. I will teach you how to speak, live, be and survive like an ISIS member. Training starts at 5am every morning and ends at 6pm at night. You will receive homework as well. Think of it as summer classes or a visit back to school," she said, her eyes not leaving Apex while she finished her speech.

.........................

Over the course of the training, Apex rebelled for the most of it, acting rude and causing problems between him and his comrades in training. Proving it to be difficult for Emily to train him, she decided to confront him in his own room.

Entering the hallway which had white walls with shiny marble tiles, she took a turn left to the "Special Agents" and knocked on Room 5.

The white door opened to reveal none other than Apex who had his smile upside down the moment he saw Emily.

"What are you doing here?" muttered Apex. Not wanting to argue Emily pushed past him into the room and sat on his tiny bed with blue sheets. Looking around, it was clean and had no holes; a bathroom with privacy and a small fridge.
