Lysandra was waiting outside her building when Crystal pulled up. "Hi," she called out, pushing her sunglasses up to rest on her head. "Should I park, or do you want to get in?"
Lysandra walked over to the car. "Hi, let's go a little closer to home. I have to stop by the house and pick up some papers I left there."
They went to a little deli down the street from Lysandra's and chose a corner table away from everyone. Crystal sat down and waited for Lysandra to say something. They had made small talk in the car and now Crystal was anxious to get this moving.
Lysandra looked at her and smiled. "It's so nice out today, huh?"
Crystal sighed. "Yeah, sure is," she replied, glancing out the window.
"So, did you get a lot done with Maria yesterday?"
Crystal nodded. "Yeah, it looks like everything is all set."
The waitress came over and they ordered iced teas and sandwhiches. Crystal waited until the waitress walked away before folding her hands on the table and leaning in towards Lysandra. "Ok, now why don't you tell me why you invited me out today."
Lysandra shook her head. "What do you mean?"
Crystal sighed and sat back in her seat. "I seriously doubt you just wanted to b.s. with me about the weather and my job. So, let's skip all that and get right down to it. What's on your mind?"
Lysandra stared at her for minute then let out a short laugh. "You know what, Crystal? I like you, I really do." She smiled softly, shaking her head. "You're very to-the-point, you don't like to play games, and you're very quick. You'd make a great lawyer."
Crystal shrugged. "Well, I've uh," she sniffed and waved her hand a few times. "Dabbled in the field a little," she murmured, nodding.
Lysandra looked at her with interest. "Oh really? How did that go?"
Crystal frowned. "It would've went perfectly if Raymond hadn't fit in that dress," she muttered, making a face.
Lysandra looked perplexed. "What?"
Raymond grinned. "Well, what happened was..." She explained the whole Pink Bandit fiasco in true Crystal Lumia form, complete with facial expressions, voices and witty sarcasm.
Lysandra laughed throughout the entire story. Wiping her eyes, she reached for her iced tea and took a sip. "You're so funny. I can't even believe the situations you three have gotten yourselves into," she muttered, shaking her head in awe. "Lindsay's told me some that have completely blown my mind."
