Athaniel's POV

I was busy eating another slice of cake when Diana called me

"Athaniel"

"Yes Mama?" I replied

"Me and your Father have something to show you! So close your eyes"

I closed my eyes as soon as she said that, and put down my slice of cake to the side

'Hmm I wonder what it is? Maybe it's my Birthday gift??'

"Wait a second... Okay got it! you can open your eyes now" She said as she called Felix to bring something

As soon as she said that I opened my eyes to see them holding a portrait of all three of us with Diana in the middle sitting on a chair, Claude standing on her left ,and... me on her right

"Amazing right? I got Claude to ask the royal painter to get this done last week! We recorded some pictures of you until we decided on this one! So how do you like it?" She said

'they really did this for me? we look like a happy family in the portrait... I guess this is not so bad after all, at least there is a portrait of Diana now so Athy can at least see her... I'll miss her Heh I guess I've gotten attached to her'

"I... Like it a lot! Thanks Mama, Papa!" I said as I hugged them tightly

"Your welcome my Dear" she said as she hugged me as well

While Claude just smiled as he hugged us too

And we just stayed here for a while talking and stuff until it was time to go back

One hour later

I plopped down on my bed as soon as I was back in my room after my very exhausting, but happy birthday rethinking my life's decisions

'ugh... why did I have to act so much like a child, this must be what Athanasia feels everyday, oh well can't help it now, let's just enjoy being a kid again'

I thought as I buried my head under my pillows as I kicked my feet up and down until I felt something else on my bed, curious I sat up and grabbed whatever it was
