Desire POV

I've been getting sick lately for the past few weeks. Last week I took a pregnancy teat and it came out positive, but sometimes them tests be lying to you. So, I asked Akievah can she come with me to the clinic to see if I'm really pregnant. I haven't told Trevor, I want to know that it's true before I tell him and I want proof that I am pregnant.

"You're ready?" Akievah asked as we walked inside of the clinic

"I'm scared honestly" I sighed

I went to the front desk to sign in, then sat by Akievah.

"Desire a baby is a beautiful thing and it's a blessing. I understand you don't want a baby at the time but if you're really pregnant please don't kill the baby. Hell, I'll take care of it if you don't want it" she said

"If I am pregnant I'm going to keep it, but that means I have to drop out of college to take care of the baby" I said

"You have to make them kind of sacrifices when you have to take care of a baby" she said

"Desire Great?" The doctor called my name

Me and Akievah stood up and followed the nurse into a room.

"What seems to bring you here today?" He said

"Well I've been throwing up lately. I took a pregnancy test, and it came out positive. But you know the test could be lying." I said

"Well how about we do a ultrasound?" He asked

I nodded my head.

"Lay on the bed and pull your shirt up please" he said as he turned the lights off.

I laid on the bed and lift my shirt up.

"This may be cold okay?" He said

I nodded my head and he placed the gel on my stomach.

He grabbed the wand and moved it around my stomach.

"Well... It looks to me you are pregnant Desire. 7 weeks to be exact." He said

He pointed towards the screen showing the little baby that's being formed inside of me.

After wiping the gel off of my stomach, he turned the lights on and helped me off the bed.

"Okay Desire... Take care of your self, don't stress and eat healthy. Here's your next appointment and your prenatal pills prescription." He said handing me everything

"Thank you sir" I said giving him a weak smile

"Don't give me that fake smile sweetheart. This is a blessing, most women are devastated because they can't even carry a baby inside of them. So be grateful that you have a little one on the way" he smiled

I smiled and rubbed my flat stomach.

"I am sir. Thank you" i smiled

"Everyone is here?" I mumbled

"Sorry baby girl." Akievag said while getting out the car.

"Mama why did you tell everyone to come over?" I groaned

"Because girl, this is good news!" She said dragging me towards the porch

She opened the door and literally dragged me into the living area.

"Hey mama!" Amari said hugging me tightly

"You guys, Desire has some great news?" Akievah said

"You better not had got a job behind my back. Desire I told you I got you baby, my job is to take care of--"

"Shut up Trevor, I'm pregnant" I said

"You what?" He said lowly

"Nigga she's pregnant, you happy?" Tremaine smiled

Trevor start jumping around and hugging everyone.

"I'm having another bab- Desire why you're not smiling? Isn't this a good thing?" He asked

"Yes baby this is a great thing." I smiled weakly

Trevor sighed and rubbed the back of his head. Trevor grabbed me and I followed him into the kitchen.

"Baby... If you really don't want the baby you can abort it. I mean you acting like this isn't a great thing, you're supposed to be happy about this. This is a blessing, you acting like this is a bad thing. You have a frown on your face and you look angry. If you really don't want the fucking baby then abort it!" He yelled on the last part

He stormed out the kitchen, I jumped when I heard the front door slam. I quickly went outside and stood infront of the car so he wouldn't leave. I walked to the driver's side and opened the door.

"I'm sorry if I upset you Trevor, I-I just don't know what to feel. I'm happy but sad, because I have to drop out of college. I'm also happy that I'm having a baby." I said

"You acting like you can't go back to college! You can take online classes! Desire this isn't about you anymore. I'm tired of fighting and fussing over this situation. Imma let you do you ight? If you don't want my seed than abort it! You--"

"Desire you better suck that shit up because you ain't aborting shit! This is my grandchild we're talking about. Shut the fuck up about that "I have to drop out of college" bullshit! I had to drop out of law school just to take care of Ahkela! Everything isn't about you! You'll have another chance!" Akievah yelled

"And don't say shit else, because you're pissing me off right now." She yelled while walking back into the house.

Trevo shook his head and got back into the car and drove off.

"Come here" My dad said

I walked back into the house and followed him into our garage.

"What are you gonna do?" He asked

I stayed silent instead of answering.

"Desire, that nigga loves you don't you see it? You're worried about school, fuck school roght now! You have a fucking family. Im not finna sugar coat anything, you know Trevor ask me for your hand in marriage? You probably done fucked that moment to happen. He's working his ass off Desire. He work 15 hours every weekend, just to take care of you and Amari. When we talked, he said if you ever get pregnant and you had to drop out to take care of the baby he would do the same just to be by your side. He will work everyday just to put food on the table and a roof over your head. Do you think any other men would do that? There's not many who would do some shit like that! You're slowly breaking your relationship with him. But if you want to be a dumbass and killed the baby, then that's your choice." He said before walking out
