Trevor POV

2 weeks later

I grabbed my belongs after clocking out of work. I walked towards the back of the building, it's a quicker way to get to my car.

"Trevor!" I heard Yvonne's annoying voice yell from her office

"What Yvonne?" I sighed loudly while stopping in my tracks

"Come here, I need to show you something." She said

"Can it wait?" I said completely annoyed

"It's only going to take five minutes." She said

I rolled my eyes and turned around and made my way towards her office. I walked in and she was sitting on the desk typing something on her laptop

"What?" I said

"Well I changed your hours for work. You'll be working everyday of the week, due to the fact were losing workers. So, we need help and other departments. You'll be working from 4am-7pm" She said showing me my new schedule

"What the fuck? Yvonne you know I have a fucking daughter to take care of, I have a baby on the way and I have school! I can't do this damn schedule!" I yelled at her furiously.

She smirked. "I know Trevor." She said

"Can you at least let me have my weekend with my family?" I sighed

"I can't Trevor I'm sorry. Everyone is getting a new schedule until we get more workers in each department of the building." She said

"Whatever" I said before walking out

I walked to the back of the building and exit out to go to my car. I got inside and headed towards the house. I dialed my mom's number in the car while driving.

"Hello?" My mom said loudly

"Ma"

"Trevor why did you do Desire-"

"Mama I'm not in the mood to talk about her right now. I called you for something else" I sighed

"What did you call me for?" She asked with an attitude

"Can you keep Amari-"

"Son I can't, me and your father are going to dinner with a few friends."

"Okay" I said dragging my hand down my face

"Can y'all bring her over before y'all go then?" I sighed

"I'll have Tremaine to drop her off in twenty minutes." She said

"Okay, bye. Love you ma" I said

"Love you too." She said before hanging up

When I pulled up to the house, I grabbed my items out the car and got out. I checked the mail and grabbed the letters out of the mail box. I unlocked the door and walked into the house.

I felt the cold air hit my face as I walked inside. I turned the lights on and walked towards the kitchen while looking through the mail.

As I was reading through the mail I notice that I was behind on rent. I could've sworn I paid the house rent. Then it popped up in my head.

I told Desire to pay for rent on the same day we got into it.

"Fuck" I yelled out of frustration

I'm frustrated because I don't even have the money right now. I haven't even paid my car note.

I picked up the phone and dialed Desire's number. It rung for at least 3 secs before she picked up.

"Hello?" She sound uncertain

"Desire-"

"Trevor--"

"Desire why didn't you pay the rent like I told you?" I sighed

I heard her gasp and curse lowly

"Baby I'm so sorry I completely forgot." She said lowly

"How could you forget this Desire? I don't even have the money to pay the rent or the car note. Hell, I probably don't have enough to pay our damn cellphone bill D" I sighed

"Baby I'm so sorry what happened two weeks ago." She sobbed

I rolled my eyes at her dramatic act

"Desire we're not discussing that right now. The problem is we might lose our shit-"

"I'll ask Sed to help us out" She sniffed

"No he has a kid to take care of right now. I don't what we're gonna do." I sighed

We stayed on silent on the phone for two minutes until I spoke up.

"I guess we have to wait until I get my paycheck next week. By the way Yvonne change my hours, I have to work everyday from 4am to 7pm. Hell, I might as well drop out of college." I stressed

"Trevor baby, you don't -"

"Yes I do, I'll do anything to take care of you and my kids. I may be mad at you for what happened two weeks ago, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to continue to take care of you. I haven't forgave you yet because what you did was foul-"

"I know baby and I'm very sorry. I can't lose you again, I promise I won't contact him again." She said

"I don't want that shit to happen again Desire." I sighed while rubbing my face

I heard the doorbell ring I looked at the door and seen Tremaine and Amari through the glass.

"Hold on D" I said while yawning

I walked to the door and opened it. Desire was also standing next to Tremaine.

"Daddy!" Amari said jumping up and down

I picked her up and kissed her cheeks.

"Hey baby girl" I said placing her back down

"Daddy give mommy a hug and kiss!" Amari said

I gave her the side eye before turning to Desire. She smiled weakly, and I wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Hey daddy's baby" I whispered in her ear

"Hey daddy" she said kissing my neck

I pulled away and kissed her lips gently.

"Wassup man" I said dapping up Tremaine

"Sup nigga" Tremaine said looking at me intently

"Are you okay?" He asked me while feeling my face

"Yeah why?" I asked

"You look like you about to pass out any minute now." He said looking me up and down

"Nigga you need to sit down" he said

"I'm fine, leave me alone" I rolled my eyes

"Trevor you do not look good at all bro." He said looking into my eyes

He grabbed my arm and I snatched away from him. I stumble back and almost fell but he caught me.

"Tre your body is cold and pale. This isn't normal" He said

"I'm just ti-" I couldn't even finish my sentence because I felt my body react a different way

The last thing I heard was "Trevor keep your eyes open." But it was too late.

I slowly fluttered my eyes open, as soon as they were all the way open I quickly shut them due to the fact that a bright light was in my face. When my eyes adjusted I carefully sat up in this uncomfortable bed.

"What the hell?" I said looking around the room
