Third Person's P.O.V

Diane sat beside King who was floating at her side, looking in the distance with that same sad look on their face. "I wonder what everyone else is doing when they stayed in Liones..." "Last I heard is that demons have been running rampant ever since Meliodas was killed by the ten commandments..." King tightened his hold on his chastifol pillow, guilt causing his heart to ache. "Meliodas was a good person...the way he died was horrible, he didn't deserve it!" Diane began to shed tears for the man who didn't fear her, who treated her like a normal girl. "I never understood him...he was a mystery to me till the very end. Even so...I wish he survived." King could feel his conflicted feelings, the man who he thought was an enemy died protecting him and everyone else. "What confuses me is why the demons haven't attacked the fairy king's forest yet.." "There's a barrier around it, it knows who's allowed to enter and who's not." The cold air felt refreshing to the two of them, reminiscing about the past instead of focusing on the harsh present. "What I'm curious about is why King Gloxinia and King Drole haven't made any moves...you would think they would after Meliodas was killed." King began to worry if they were planning something big, he didn't want to lose anyone else important to him. "And that girl back at the fighting festival...I believe her name was Y/n! Gloxinia seems to be drawn to her...she could be in trouble." "Don't worry Diane! I'm sure she's safe with Lady Elizabeth and Hawk." Many people could be the target for the two old kings, but instead of worrying they kept their minds focused on other things. "Let's go have fun with the others! I can hear the movements of dancing." Diane giggled happily as they began to make their way back to the others, seeing everyone starting to dance. "King Harlequin I feel a gaze watching us for a while now...but it might be my imagination." "Might be since I don't sense anything, but either way it seems like everyone is having fun!" King smiled as he too joined in on the dancing, loving the music other fairies played for everyone. "If what King Harlequin and Diane said true...then what happened 3000 years ago must've triggered Gloxinia." Gerheade thought to herself as she watched everyone dancing happily, being in such a fun atmosphere lifted her spirits. Eventually she began to dance as well, suddenly feeling a warm hand grab hers. Twirling her around and finally seeing who would dance with her...it brought a gentle smile to her face. "So you're still alive...I'm glad." Gloxinia muttered softly with a warm smile on his face, soon vanishing in the blink of an eye. Just like the old fairy king vanished...so did King and Diane. "King Harlequin!!" "Lady Diane!!"

TIMESKIP

The moment the giant and fairy opened their eyes they saw Gloxinia and Drole standing before them. "I'm not running...if this is the end I'm glad it's with you." "I feel the same way Diane...now go all out immediately okay?" Having two commandments close to them, there was little chance of survival much less escape. "We aren't going to kill you, we have decided to bestow upon you a trial." Drole spoke with such a blunt tone, not once looking away from them both. "Our intention is to have you both surpass us." Gloxinia smirked, finding it amusing that the two didn't let their guard down despite being weaker than them. "A long time ago we fought against the demon race, we were given a choice and followed that path." "In the recent battle we changed our ways, we want you two help us see if we made the right decision or not." Deciding to side with the ones who fight for good...it was all for one purpose, making it up for a betrayal. "I'll do it!" "Me too!" Gloxinia nodded as he began to chant softly, the ground under King and Diane began to glow. "This is a spell I learned from someone important to me, it's safe." Gloxinia smiled a bit, memories of the goddess never left his mind. Once the light enveloped the two, opening their eyes to a whole new scenery. "AH KING YOU LOOK LIKE GLOXINIA!!" "AND YOU LOOK LIKE DROLE!!" Their eyes remained the same color, but had the bodies of the old kings. After finally being able to calm down, the two looked around...not knowing where they were. "I don't recognize this place at all King.." Diane muttered softly as she looked up at the fairy who was just as confused. "I don't either, are we even still in Brita- Something's coming! It has a very strong demonic energy similar to that of the ten commandments!!" King shouts with a worried look on his face, then gasped when he saw who that strong aura belonged to. "Yo~ You both got here quick!" Seeing Meliodas right before their eyes, it filled them with such relief and yet confused them to no end. "How are you alive and standing here?! You died a month ago!!" "I don't remember dieing? Seems like your jokes are still lame Drole~ Tell him to try a little harder Gloxinia!" Meliodas tilted his head, soon letting out a cheerful laugh. In his eyes it seemed like a joke, but for the giant and fairy...it was reality. "No you're mistaken! I'm King and this is Diane!!" "You're trying to make a joke too Gloxinia? By the way who are King and Diane?" There was a moment of silence between all three of them, moments later a pair of fluttering wings could be heard. "There you guys are~" "Wait...what are you guys doing here?!" Both Diane and King were shocked to see Y/n and Elizabeth in front of them, with wings no less. "We promised to meet at this exact location remember?" "Elizabeth is right silly~ Don't you remember?" Y/n giggled happily, the laugh sounded so angelic...sounding a bit different to the Y/n they knew. "Why do you both have wings? They...don't look like fairy wings." "Of course not~ Y/n and Elizabeth are goddesses after all!" The gentle breeze caused their wings to sway together with the wind, not to mention their gentle smiles...in a way it was different than to what they were used to. "Let's head out now~" "Huh?! Where to?!" Diane's question went unanswered as Meliodas flew off with Y/n and Elizabeth at his side. "Diane...this is the Britannia of 3000 years ago. Members of the goddess race is right before our eyes which don't make sense. The goddesses had used up their powers and lost their physical forms...so seeing them here must mean we're in the past." King muttered softly as he stared at both Y/n and Elizabeth, seeing them again as goddesses made his head spin...it didn't make sense. "But what about Y/n and Elizabeth? What are they doing 3000 years in the past?" "I'm not sure but they do look exactly like the Y/n and Elizabeth we know..." Y/n and Elizabeth looked only ahead, their determination never once wavering. "We're coming up on the Valley of Fossils now, get ready!!" Meliodas shouted, only mere seconds had passed...and there was countless demons burning down homes and taking innocent people's lives. "Elizabeth c'mon!" "Right!!" Y/n and Elizabeth flew off towards a horde of demons a bit farther to where the others were, leaving King and Diane alone...another stronger demon made himself known. "I am Calmadios, one of the ten commandments!" He sneered with a venomous tone, no one was there to help...Meliodas being busy in a fight of his own. "King what do we do...?" "I'm not sure..." The giant and fairy could feel just how strong this commandment was, not knowing if they'd make it out alive...
