Chapter 8: To Our Captain

Y/n's P.O.V

Having Meliodas in my arms managed to calm my nerves, there was so much that needed to be done. I need him...to wake up, time is running out. "Sister don't be sad okay? I know it's scary thinking about our time limit...but everything will turn out alright!" "Sissy is right, everyone in the Seven Deadly Sins will do their best to keep you both safe till we find a way to break the curse!" I began to smile as I tightened my hold on Meliodas, if only he was awake to see this...to see how hard everyone was working to save us. "Look! Darkness is covering the night sky!!" Elizabeth suddenly shouted as I managed to see through the window, the darkness covering the sky...if someone did that they're incredibly strong. "We have to sti-" "Who's that old man?!" Hawk blurted out as I stared at the man in front of me, he appeared so suddenly...how was he able to get passed Merlin and the others without detection? "My poor young master~ I-I will save you right this second!!" "Who are you?!" I shouted angrily as I tried to figure out who he was, he's obviously from the demon clan...I just don't understand why he looks so angry at me and Elizabeth too! "You're the damned goddess who stole my master away...and that woman who manipulated him is also here, I'll kill you both!!" As the man smirked I could see how sharp his teeth were, his demonic energy was overwhelming. "I won't let you near Meliodas!" "I won't ever forgive you...you hear me Goddess Y/n?!" The man looked even more angry at me, destroying the perfect cube with ease. "He can use Absolute Cancel...we can't underestimate him. Get down!!" Merlin tried to use magic against him, only for that man to reflect it...the move Meliodas knows! "Merlin!!" She looked so small, just like she did back then...so she was in her true form. "Ark!!" Elizabeth shouted angrily as she trapped the man in an orb of light, forcing him out of the bar. "Is everyone alright?!" "Merlin stay here and keep Escanor safe!" Elizabeth and I made our way outside, I kept Meliodas close as we saw everyone looking up at the night sky. The man was relentless...he would've leave us alone. "Oh thank god you guys are safe!" "We're fine! Merlin is still inside keeping Escanor safe." Gowther looked at the man like he recognized him, then he uttered his name...Chandler. I recognize that name, Meliodas told me long ago he learned how to fight from Chandler. "Are you afraid of the night~? Nighttime is when demons get stronger!" Chandler smirked as I immediately looked at Meliodas, he was grunting in pain...the night might make him heal faster, we have to make it day again! "Meliodas..." I mutter softly as I softly caressed his cheek, everything was gonna be okay...it has too. "Hand over the young master and those damned goddesses~ Do so and I'll spare you! The Demon King wants you all gone, but I'll look the other way as long as I get what I want~!" "The captain, Y/n, and Elizabeth are our precious friends! We'll never hand them over to you!!" Diane sounded so determined, willing to risk her life...for us. "Microscopic~" Chandler used magic to shrink Diane, smaller than a human. Her clothes were far too big to fit her small body now... "Diane...!" "MeteorWorks!!" Chandler used strong demonic magic against us, I want to fight...but then Meliodas might be taken if he isn't close to me. "Now die you damned goddesses!!" His magic was overpowering us, and we almost died...but somehow the magic was blocked. "Gotta say I wasn't expecting to combine my magic with you~" King chuckled as he began to combine his magic with Gowther, strong enough to push Chandler back.

Combination Move: Celestial Arrow

"I'm sure Gowther and King will stop him, so you don't have to worry." Elizabeth tried to reassure me once she noticed how nervous I was, but I can't just watch...I have to fight too. "Elizabeth...take care of Meliodas for me okay?" "Sister don't tell me you plan to...!" I handed Meliodas to her as I grew my goddess wings, flying towards King and Gowther. I knew what their plan was...I could help them. "Listen up...I'm sure Gowther knows this but you all need to know as well. Chandler can use Full Counter like Meliodas...but if we wait for the perfect moment your attack will definitely hit him." Chandler has to be defeated as soon as possible...I won't let him hurt anyone, not while I'm still alive. "Attacking without a signal~?" Once Chandler used Full Counter on the illusion is when they unleashed their attack, now it's my turn. "Piercing Light!!" All of our attacks combined into one, hitting Chandler head on. However the relief didn't last long, demons started heading towards us...but I couldn't sense anything from them. Something's off... "Increase!!" "King don't...!!" Gowther was too late with his warning, King's attack was deflected and severely injured him instead...the demons that were in front of us disappeared to reveal Chandler. He tricked us...I should've known he would've pulled something like this. "Y/n get back! Now!!" Gowther pushed me away right as Chandler cast a spell, one that controls Gowther...not Absolute Order. "Gowther...!!" I flew to his side, wondering if my power would be enough to make the mark go away. "Now then~ It's time to kill you first Goddess Elizabeth, and once I kill your sister I'll take the young master with me!" "Elizabeth!!" Hawk nodded as he urged me to go protect my sister while he would stay with Gowther, I stayed in front of Elizabeth and Meliodas...I can't let them be killed. "So you wish to die first~? Then how should I kill you? Burn you, Boil you, Shred you, Pierce you perhaps?" "Sister just stay away!! At this rate you'll...!" Elizabeth begged but I stood my ground, I refused to back down...not when those precious to me are in danger. "I've decided~" Chandler used magic to lift my body up, he used some magic that made me feel like I couldn't breathe...not like this. "Melio...das..." I whispered softly as he finally let me go, my body felt so weak. "Now for the final touch~ Dragon Claw!" "Y/n!!!" Elizabeth screamed as she was only able to watch Chandler attack me, but...I didn't feel pain. "I'm gonna protect Y/n, Elizabeth, and the Captain!!" I opened my eyes and saw Diane protect me, she put herself in danger...for me. "Diane...you can't protect us, not with the way you are now. Please...just get to safety!" Elizabeth nodded in agreement as she began to heal my wounds, but despite that Diane didn't back down. "I know just the technique to kill a giant~ I'll boil you into soup!" Chandler smirked as one of his hands turned extremely red, even smoke started radiating out of it.
