Chapter 4: The Cursed Trio

Y/n's P.O.V

Diane, Elizabeth, and I decided to enter Ban's room to check in on Elaine. The day Diane and King returned to us made me so happy! Diane got her memories back...and she seemed happier than ever. "Elaine are you feeling any better?" "Oh yes! My soul is being held together by the forbidden spell Melascula used so I'm not at my best just yet." Having everyone all together in one place...the moments we shared, I don't want them to end. "Oh that reminds me! During the trial that took place in Britannia 3000 years ago, King and I had we saw two women who looked like Y/n and Elizabeth together with the captain!! Apparently the Goddess Y/n was pregnant too but sadly she lost her child.." Diane's words struck something in me, like I knew what she was talking about. A woman...who was pregnant and together with Meliodas and a Goddess who looked like Elizabeth? "Diane...are you positive that's what you saw?" "Yup! Isn't it weird Elizabeth?" As I began to feel overwhelmed I just left the room, I couldn't be around anyone. How...could something like this be possible?

TIMESKIP

As the sun began to set and become night, everyone was drinking together. Everyone was happy they were together again...but I couldn't bring myself to smile. I wonder...why can't I just forget about what Diane said? 3000 years ago...a Y/n and Elizabeth together with Meliodas? That Y/n was pregnant too... "N/n was the nickname of Y/n, and Liz was Elizabeth's nickname. N/n was Meliodas' girlfriend!" Cain Barzard did mention that before...different people who sounded and looked just like me and Elizabeth! "You look out of it Y/n~ You can always come talk to me!"  Meliodas hugged me from behind with that usual pervy smile, but...I couldn't bring myself to act how I usually would. "Y/n...?" He muttered softly as he slowly let go of me, looking into his eyes is when I made my decision. "There's something I want to talk to you about later...when we're alone." I began to walk away fr him, not looking back. Not once...

TIMESKIP

The sun had risen into the sky moments ago, looking at Liones castle from a distance together with Meliodas. "Do you remember years ago we used to come here?" I couldn't bring myself to answer Meliodas, my mind was focused on Diane's words...and the dream I had last night. "Listen to me...the three of us have been cursed." The woman in my dream...she looked so much like me and the other woman with her looked like Elizabeth. "Listen Meliodas...when Zaratras casted a spell we saw you from 16 years ago. That was the time N/n and Liz passed away...Cain Barzard told us about them. He said their full names were Y/n and Elizabeth..." "Yeah well you guys do look alike but don't act the same~" Meliodas was trying to brush me off...but why? He knows I'm serious about wanting to know...I have to. "He said even our voices and looks were identical!" "...Just another coincidence~" He hesitated...if he had a child with another woman who looked like me I deserve to know. Could it have been...a reincarnation? "Diane told me that both her and King saw two goddesses in their trial...a Y/n and Elizabeth who looked me and my sister. You're telling me that's another coincidence too...?" I spoke softly as I looked towards Meliodas, and saw that pained expression on his face...he was completely silent. "I know what you're thinking...it's too weird to be true. Still...if there's any part of it that could be true then I-!" "You're just tired Y/n..." Meliodas cut me off, he didn't look me in the eye. Why wouldn't he? I know he's lieing to my face... "Just hear me out! Back in Vaizel they knew me...the ten commandments recognized me. And even when you first woke up from your coma...Derieri not only recognized me but she recognized Elizabeth too! How could demons from 3000 years ago...mistake us for someone else? I'm ready to hear what you have to say Meliodas...so please!" "...I have no idea what you're talking about~" Once again...Meliodas lied to my face. My heart ached...having the one I love lie to me was painful. "I'm heading back...but just so you know I trust you more than anyone else in the whole world. I'm sure...Elizabeth feels the same." I smiled sadly as I began to walk away, being around him right now...just made me incredibly sad. "I'm not ready yet..." As I walk away I could faintly hear Meliodas...ready for what? Maybe...I was too hard on him. "Sister I need your help! It's Lady Merlin...!" By the time I got back to the Boat Hat Elizabeth looked so worried...as she guided me to Merlin there she was in bed with Escanor by her side. Her face was covered in sweat, she kept grunting in pain too...not to mention her fever. "Let's do this Elizabeth..." "Right!" We both began to use our power, concentrating on the thought of saving her...then when we opened our eyes we were in a void of darkness. "This power..." "It feels like we're in a pitch black sea..." A dark laugh echoed throughout the void and in front of us...was Zeldris of Piety. "I was wondering who was interfering with my magic power...it's been a while Y/n and Elizabeth~" "How do you know us?!" Elizabeth shouted as she held onto me tightly, I'm sure she's scared I'd die...like how the ten commandments killed Meliodas before. "Both of you are so pathetic...you damned cursed goddesses are still clinging to my older brother and making him suffer!!" "So you're Meliodas' brother...and what do you mean when you say we're making him suffer?" Zeldris looked so angry at us...I could feel the hatred he held for us. His eyes...it was like he could see through me. "Both of you have existed during the past 3000 years and each time you die you forget about your previous lives and meet Meliodas again! Probably 40 or 50 times by now.." "So then...the Y/n and Elizabeth together with him 3000 years ago...?" His words seem far-fetched...but in my heart I could tell he wasn't lieing. But if that's the case...why didn't Meliodas tell me that? I wouldn't leave him for something like this... "Of course it was you both! Wait...why are you smiling?!" "If anything it feels like a dream...all this time I was together with Meliodas and my sister." I was always with the ones I love, we always managed to find each other. Being together...makes me happy. "You're making him suffer the most!" Zeldris glared angrily, not paying attention to Elizabeth. He has a grudge against me and only me... "Meliodas has always been by my side...supporting me and Elizabeth. I want to remember everything! All the time we spent together...every moment he told me he loves me!!" "I want to remember as well... every moment we shared!!" My body began to glow a bright f/c light, Elizabeth was being enveloped in a pink light...and I could see how annoyed Zeldris was of us. "Then remember everything! AND KNOW THE TRUE DEPTH OF YOUR SINS FROM BACK THEN!!" Zeldris was so strong, but our light protected us...it sent us back to where we originally were. "I'm in your debt, thank you Y/n and Elizabeth." My body felt so worn out, Meliodas was in the room too and he looked so worried...but I still didn't want to be around him. Not yet... "Y/n are you okay?" "I'm fine Meliodas...just feeling a little tired. Elizabeth and I...we're gonna get some fresh air." I gently grabbed onto Elizabeth's hand and guided her outside, we sat on the seating area out there. That's when I lost it...I couldn't stop crying. "Sister...you feel the same way too don't you? Happy...that we were always with Meliodas." "Yes..." I muttered softly as I began to smile, tears still dripping down my cheeks...meeting Meliodas was fate. Once we spend time together outside we went back in the bar together...but that's when my mind was being flooded with memories. They're...my memories.

Third Person's P.O.V

"CALM DOWN!! BOTH OF YOU!" Diane shouted as she grabbed hold of Elizabeth while you were clinging to your head, so many memories returning all at once. "I have to tell Meliodas right away...Barzard has been bitten by a werewolf!!" "Elizabeth...we must find Meliodas immediately!!" The loud shouting caught the attention of Meliodas and Ban, once they returned you looked in their direction. "There you are...Elizabeth and I were told by the order of knights that Barzard has been severely injured Meliodas! We must go see him!" "It can't be...you both..." Meliodas was at a loss for words, having your memories returning so soon...it caught him off guard. "Y/n and Elizabeth...tell me, do you know who I am right now?" "It's been a long time Lady Merlin!" "You've grown Merlin...are you still living in Belialuin? Did you come to visit again?" Meliodas gently took your hand in his, begging you to look at him. "Their eyes...they look weird!" Hawk shouted as everyone looked at your eyes as well as Elizabeth's...both golden with the goddess symbol. "Y/n...Elizabeth-" "It's okay...we still..." You couldn't even finish speaking, the sudden moment of gaining your memories overwhelmed you...causing you to pass out just like Elizabeth did seconds before. Meliodas held onto you tightly, laying you carefully on his bed with Elizabeth beside you. "Merlin. You know what's goin on?" "It seems freeing me from Zeldris' magic became a trigger for this." "Does that mean they've been hit with that spell now?!"

"No...their memories have started to return." Meliodas spoke softly as he held onto your hand, tightening his grip...afraid he would lose you again. "Elizabeth and Y/n did say they want to remember their past lives before and-" "Shut your mouth Diane!!" Merlin shouted at the giantess who was shocked she would act like that, she didn't understand...no one did besides Meliodas and Merlin. "Captain is the mean one! He purposely ignored Y/n when she asked him about it!! Elizabeth was hurt too that he didn't-" "It's all over now..." Meliodas looked at your sleeping face, knowing what was bound to happen...the inevitable pain he would feel. "It won't take long for their memories to return...and once that happens Y/n and Elizabeth will die in three days." "You're joking...you have t-to be! R-Right...captain?" Diane stuttered as she looked at both you and Elizabeth, a reality where she would lose you both...she couldn't bare it. "That is our way of life...there's no need to keep quiet about it so I'll tell you everything. About the purpose...of my 3000 year journey." Meliodas was going to finally reveal everything, the truth about you...about Elizabeth...about him. All of it...despite not being ready to relive those memories.
