"Don't let him take my son!"

"Tempeste. My love, no one is here but us. Knight is safe with Ethan's father, I've checked. Please relax."

"Oh Ella. Oh Ella. I saw him. He didn't see me but I saw him."

"Saw who?"

"Knight's father. Oh he never mentioned his status only his search for a fertile bride. And that wife of his that died was a dear friend of mine back in the orphanage. And that man. That man fathered my son. Oh it was clear as day. My son has my hazel eyes, but his father's crisp blonde hair. He has his mouth too, oh Ella. What if he takes my son."

"Who is Knight's father?"

"Prince Edward. A nephew of the King's."

"Oh bloody hell, stop with all the ruckus. Don't let me hear it ever again. That boy is Diamond's son, blood or not. I saw it with my own two eyes the other day. The tears that brimmed in the eyes of the Prince as he hugged your sobbing son. This other man you speak of is of no relation to that boy. You hear?"

"Oh but Elizabeth..."

"You hear me now. Stop stressing over this. I love you like my own child, we all do. Let us worry for you. Now I've lived longer than any of you, I am wiser. Just because he fathered this boy, does not make him his father. He only watered the seed, it was you that made it grow and then bloom. You cry for nothing. That bustling little boy is a child of Prince Diamond as is this child that is bound to be born any time now."

"Oh Elizabeth. Oh Elizabeth, Ella, what would I do without you?"

"Don't forget about Maryellen's fretful self. She's gone to cater to Knight for the day."

"If course you all are mothers to me."

"I know. I know. I'd say sleep, but this is the most awake you've been in a bit over two months. The medicine the doctor gives you keeps you out cold. We've run out, he will be back in three days time. Until then you must lay comfortably."

"I've slept that much?"

"Pull down the covers, see? You're stomach is so much bigger the baby is so healthy."

"May I, oh may I please go for a walk. I havent been graced by nature in so long."

"I ought to say no, but having you trapped here is cruel. We will stay here and prepare you a meal. Be back quickly."

"Thank you!"

I slowly got out if bed and found my feet touching the floor. I stood and held to my enlarged stomach, rubbing it as I walked. I slowly descended the stairs with Ella's help, and opened the door. The sun poured in on me and I felt fresh. If I returned by the time the sun finished setting, I'd be okay. I slowly pitter pattered my way to the maid's quaters where I'd find the door that leads outside if these walls. I allowed the moist grass to run through my toes as I walked towards the small stream that I'd come to love. I stepped into the cold water, and the pain hit me. Something wet trailed down my thigh and I crouched over in the shallow water screaming out in agonizing pain...

I walked toward the palace to search for some bread in the kitchen. Tonight, Elizabeth and I were preparing soup and warm bread for Tempeste. Her favorite. I looked up right before colliding into the Prince. His face looked as sad as usual. I bowed my head and proceeded to walk. When he cleared his throat, I stopped.

"I've been quite cross to everyone I apologize."

"It's quite alright your Highness. For the ones that matter, know why."

"How is my sunflower? Is she okay?"

"She's wide awake actually, were cooking for her now."

"Can I see her?"
