Memories

Memories are the stories,
Engraved in heart or penned through brain,
Which mainly are the causes of your smile,
And sometimes the causes of your pain.

Even an expensive DSLR isn't that worth
To capture those memories.
Neither so worthless they are,
To be posted on your Instagram stories.

I spend a lot of time,
Grinning at the benches stuck with chewing gums,
And sometimes think of the gossips I did,
Ignoring those important blackboard sums.

Today when I look back,
Not those marks but those shared tiffins make me smile,
I flip the pages of my album, take a deep breath,
And pause for a while.

Lastly, the memories which we define,
As the nightmares of our life, aren't a big deal;
All we need is to create some more memories,
To erase our pain for time to come.
