O' friends listen to my heroic feats,
As I had travelled in foreign streets.
I have returned to my own country.
And I want to tell you my story.
Among other things, I will tell you about,
When I was at Rhodes with many people to scout.
I leaped to such a distance,
That no man of mine could do at an instance.
There were many people who saw me do it,
Witnessed the scene with faces full of delight.
Now you may interrupt me telling,
Good man, if this be all the true setting.
No need of witnesses to make it clear,
As let this be Rhodes, and leap for us if you dare.
I will leap at an instance,
With my strength to a great distance.
