"MeMe wait up.", I said running to catch up. "Girl you got Ms. Williams. You better go to class.", Simone said laughing. "A note was passed to me in choir saying that Jazmine was plotting on jumping you." I passed her the note and she read it. "Well shame on them, I got to go to basketball practice today. But be on time after school, cus that's when they gone try and slip me.", Simone said walking away. "Be careful MeMe. These bitches ruthless.", I said before running to Ms. Williams class.
Just as I walked in, the bell rang. "Ms. Smith? What part of be on time do you not understand?", Ms. Williams asked. I ignored her and sat down. I saw Kevin sitting next to Amber, giggling. That made me get jealous for some reason. "Heaven, you weren't here Monday to turn in your essay, so where is it?", Ms. Williams said picking with me. All eyes were on me. I couldn't get in trouble because DHS is going to be on my ass. I was about to ask for an extension. "Hello? Earth to dummy. Are you too black to have your essay in on time? Because niggers are never on time.", Ms Williams said. Everybody laughed but Kevin and Amber. Kevin stood up and came to take me out of class. But before I left the room I yelled, "You are one stupid ass teacher. I hope you rot in hell with every motherfucker that look like you and have the same mind set as you. Y'all motherfuckers ain't better than us. And we ain't no better than y'all. It's 2014! That racist ass shit is dead. But I'm not gone sit here and be disrespected by a motherfucker that claim to be what she's not. Your husband left you broke. You live in the trailer parks on a teachers salary. So befo.." Kevin dragged me out of the classroom. As soon as we made it good out the door, we saw the principal. "What's going on here? A couple of teachers heard screaming and buzzed for me to come down.", the principal said. "I quit school! Fuck this shit.", I said walking to the gym to get Simone with Kevin two steps behind. Luckily, MeMe's practice was over when I got there. "MeMe lets go.", I said grabbing her gym bag. "What's wrong. What happened?", Simone asked. "I'll explain later, just come on.", I demanded. "Okay okay.", Simone said as she waved goodbye to her coach and her teammates.
We all got in our separate cars and left school 10 mins early. I forgot I had to get Andrea from school so I turned around. When I made it back to the school, Andrea was standing at the tree looking around. "Girl I left early and forgot about you.", I told Andrea, laughing. "Forreal? Can you stop at RJ's Quik Stop?", Andrea asked. I got in the left lane and waited for this car to pass. Andrea got out and fixed her hair and clothes before walking in the store. Jacob worked in RJ's, so I was definitely not going in there. Andrea came back out 2 minutes later with some snacks and pumped my gas. "Girl, you didn't have to put gas in here yet. Today is only Wedsneday.", I said knowing I like to ride around. "Oh it was a gift from Jacob. He told me to fill it up and he'll pay the total." Andrea smiled and got in the car. I wasn't giving Jacob the time of day. I dropped Andrea off at the nursing home. "You don't work today?" "No ma'am. I got this week off. But I don't know if I'm coming back.", I said as my phone rang. I looked at the caller i.d and Andrea said goodbye.
"Hello.", said a young girl. "Yea, who is this?", I asked. "Um, my name is Zauri. I.. I texted you the other day. I think you're my sister. I was wondering if you wanted to meet with me. I need help and somewhere to go.", Zauri said sounding uneasy. "Hi Zauri. I'm Heaven. I would love to meet you. Where do you live?", I asked happy but nervous. "I live in BridgeWell with my foster family.", Zauri responded. "Well can you meet now? BridgeWell is 30 minutes from BridgeWay. And I'm already in my car.", I explained. "Yea I can, hold on." Zauri said whispering. I heard people talking but couldn't make out their words. "Yea Heaven, we can meet at McDonald's. It's right to your left when you enter BridgeWell." Zauri said and hung up in a rush. I called Simone to let her know where I was going. I shot Kevin a text as well.
Me: Boodie, I'm Going To BridgeWell. I Should Be Back Around 5pm.
Boodie💯: BridgeWell? Dats a 30 min drive. It's only 2:32pm. You up to no good?😂
