Surprise Or Disappointment

Jeremiah's POV

I can't believe my sisters found me after 4 month. GOD must've been on my side because I really think them men was gone kill me tonight. Zauri's stepdad was one of them men. He talked about how much he loved her and he bragged about how many times he's fucked her. I knew it wasn't a mutual feeling.

"How you know about Zauri?", Simone asked. I looked at Zauri and gave a half smile. "Do you know a Jason Anderson?." I asked Zauri. She nodded her head and looked the other way. "Well he was one them men that had me locked away. He talked about how he.. uh.. raped you.", I stuttered. I felt Zauri's body tense up. The rest of the ride was so quiet that all you heard was breathing.

When we pulled up to the house, the first thing I thought about was my car. "Heaven, where my car?", I said scared of what the answer was. "I sold it because we needed food.", Simone said as Heaven unlocked the front door. "Man damn. Can I buy it back from them?", I asked. Man I can't believe Heaven sold my car. "Naw, they said no refunds.", Simone said walking to the kitchen. "Fuck!", I yelled. I loved that fucking car. "MeMe, leave him alone. Ali your car is in the garage.", Heaven said coming from out the back.

"Where you going now?", I asked as Heaven picked her keys back up. "We are going to the fucking police Jeremiah. You've basically been kidnapped for "132" days. I've been emotionally stressed. And so have Simone. Moma over dosed on Heroin because of all this. You can't just come back into town and act as if everything is normal.", Heaven explained.

I understood where she was coming from but I just wanted to lay in my bed. "I know you're probably just wanting to lay down but we can't wait any longer.", Heaven said as we all walked back to the car.

We made it to the police station and I had to explain everything that happened. "I was walking home one day from school and this policeman was following me. I went a different route to see if he would follow me.", I started. "He didn't follow me but I ran into another man. He pulled a man out the trunk of his Suburban and shot him. I noticed that the man had my facial features. I was then shoved into the same trunk. We drove for a long time and arrived at an abandoned building. They took me in the building and they've tortured me everyday since then.", I finished.

Heaven looked at me and looked away. She was my heart and soul. The only person I thought about everyday. Simone was my sister too, but not by blood. Zauri is my sister by blood but I barely know her. Heaven and I been together since birth. I hate to see her hurting.

"Thank you Mr. Smith. I'm Officer Banks and I'll be handling your case.", said this woman officer. "Is there any information that can help us find the men?", Officer Banks asked. I looked at Zauri and thought her rapist. She looked at me then looked away. "Yes. There was this man named Jason Anderson.", I responded. "Officer Jason Anderson? How do you know this is clear evidence?", Officer Banks asked. I explained to the officer and the sheriff how he bragged about raping Zauri. And how he would make her do sexual favors to his other adoptive children.

After I told the story 5 more times, we were released to go home. It was 2:36am. We all got out the car and I noticed Simone's stomach was big. Heaven and Zauri went in the house first. "Simone wait. Come here.", I called out. She turned around and walked to me. "You pregnant?", I asked pulling up her shirt. Simone tryed to stop me but she was too late. Her stomach was really plumped. I haven't noticed this earlier. "Is it mine?", I asked her. She didn't respond, just looked at the ground. "Simone, is the baby mine?", I asked again. She nodded and walked away. I knew us having sex was wrong but we both was drunk and horny. But I wasn't expecting a baby. That means Simone was atleast 5 months pregnant. Heaven can't find out. Damn!
