Heaven's POV

Me and Simone haven't been to school all week. We buried Moma Monday and decided we needed time to cope. But since today is HumpDay, Me and MeMe wanted to go. We took our showers and dressed similar. We had promised that during school hours our faces had to be plastered with smiles. We couldn't let the next mufucker see us doing bad.

I remembered back to when Moma bought us cars for our 16th birthdays. Jeremiah had a black and red challenger. It's still in the garage. Everybody be trying to buy it but I ain't ready to let go just yet. Simone hopped in her Toyota Camry 2014 and I hopped in my Charger and we went to school. As I was pulling in the Juniors parking lot, my phone vibrated. I parked in my assigned spot.

Boodie💯: Hey lil ugly. Ik your car did not pull out that driveway today. Well I haven't talked to u in a couple days because I thought you needed your rest. Oh yea. Good news or bad news first?

Me: Thanks For Giving Me Time To Relax Because Some People Were Checking Up On Us And Making Us Cry Everyday. But Umm Bad News First.

Boodie💯: My Moma not doing too good. I was talking to her and she kept calling me Pookie. Good news is I moved back to BridgeWay and I enrolled in school yesterday.

Me: I'm So Sorry To Hear That Boodie. But You Know Me And Simone Got Ya Back No Matter What. But Get To This School Now I Miss You.

We had 20 mins until the school bell rang to let us in. Everybody come early to gossip and be messy. I come early because if I don't I miss out on drama. "Hey bestie!", Jazmine screamed. "I was not expecting you to be here today." she said shaking. "Why not? You had plans with Esha, Teyanna and Tasha? Look. I told you I don't fuck around with no fufu ass niggas or fufu ass hoes. Don't fucking come up in my face like you ain't been rolling with the enemy.", I said with a calm expression. "Oh now you wanna act brand new with a bitch. You got that money from your brother's death and I'm pretty damn sure you getting some for your Moma. Now a bitch on top of the world? You can save that shit for birds Heaven. You ain't shit and never will amount to shit.", Jazmine yelled causing attention. Simone, Kevin and Andrea was walking towards us. Jazmine was looking around. I guess she was looking for Esha, Teyana and Tasha. "Bitch, if you don't get the fuck out of my face." "Or what? What you gone do Heaven?." I noticed Esha walking up. So now she grow balls? Okay. "What's the problem?", Esha asked like she somebody moma. "Nothing it's good. This hoe ain't even worth my time.", Jazmine said as her and Esha walked away.

My day was going to be good. No drama. And I mean that. "Boodie!", I yelled jumping in his arms. "Hey lil ugly.", he responded. "Y'all wanna go stand at the door? Cus it's gone take hellas to get in.", Simone reminded us. Everybody spoke to us and asked were we doing good and told us we were in their prayers. Simone and I thanked them and couldn't wait to get inside. 5 mins later Mr. Oak opened the door. We walked to our lockers. Simone's locker was under mine and coincidently Kevin's was beside mine. "How did you get a locker next to mine?, I asked. "The woman at the desked asked me who was I most familiar with here. I said Heaven and Simone. And she gave me this number.", Kevin said. "You a stalker Kevin. What three classes do you have today?", Simone asked taking his schedule. "Three classes?," Kevin asked a little too happy. "Today Wednesday so we only have three classes.", I said. Kevin looked confused. "We came up with it in the Merit Association Club (MAC). Camels have three humps and it's HumpDay. Just something silly and gives us a break from some teachers.", I explained. "You have Mr. Oak, Ms. Reid then Ms. Williams.", Simone read off. "We have the same first two but then I got Mr. Lyon." Simone said as the second bell rang. "Well I got Ms. Ryan, Ms. Reid then Ms. Williams." They walked towards A Hall and I walked to the library.

Ms. Ryan is a cool, laid back librarian. She requested that I helped her in the library. I walked in the library 5 mins before the tardy bell. I knew Ms. Ryan wasn't here yet so I just walked around looking at books. I seen something move in the back office. I stopped and listened. I heard a boy moan and a girl say, "You like that daddy?". The boy said something and then I heard a zipper. The girl said, "I love you Jacob". Jacob responded, "I love u too Teyanna. I walked fast back to my locker and slowly walked back to the library. Teyanna bumped me and smiled. I just kept walking. These trifling hoes. I walked in the library to find Jacob sitting in a beanbag. "GoodMorning Heaven.", Jacob said. "Don't talk to me.", Heaven said. "Ms. Ryan said she'd be back in an hour.", Jacob said getting up. Jacob walked to the non-fiction books. We didn't even act like were just in a relationship last week. Just as the bell rang dismissing class Jacob said "Sorry for your lost Heaven." I said thanks and walked to choir.

I been in choir all school year and Ms. Reid never made me sing. Simone and Kevin walked up laughing. "And then he said bitch fuck you. She was like I love you Justin.", Simone explained laughing. I'm assuming Justin and Kearra was into it. "Heaven, how was your first class?", Kevin asked me. "It was aight I guess.", I responded. Ms. Reid was sitting at her desk. "Okay class we have a new student by the name of Kevin Bailey." Everybody spoke to Kevin and he blushed. "Today we're doing an individual singing session.

Everybody get out a notecard and write the name of your classmate you want to hear sing. Three people will be chosen. I wrote Kevin name. Kevin looked at me and smile so I just knew he was writing my name. I had a feeling a lot of people wrote my name because nobody ever heard me sing. "Tatiyona, can you go around and pick up the notecards?", Ms. Reid asked.

Tatiyona was the quietest person I've known. She lost her daddy two months ago to cancer. And her moma was in another state with another man and his kids. I believe her and her lil sister live with their grandma. She picked up my notecard and left a note on my desk. On the top of it, it said read at the bell. I looked back at Tatiyona as she sat down so soft. She didn't look up though, she fiddled with her shirt.

"The three people are Heaven, Ashley R. and Kevin. Since Kevin's new we're gone let him go first. Kevin stood up straight and decided to sing "Nobody Knows" by August Alsina. Kevin blew me and every girl in class away. And had the niggas wishing they had that voice. "Nobody knows what I go through. Wish you could put yourself inside my shoes.", Kevin sang.

Next up was Ashely R. "Good! Save the best for last." I thought. Ashely couldn't sing forreal. She wasn't bad just couldn't hit the high note that was coming up. "And I guess it was all just make believe. Ohhhh lovvveeeeee." The class knew not to laugh because Ms. Reid didn't play that. There was a couple of giggles though. Ashley turned red and sat down.

"Heaven, you're up. What are you going to sing." I thought for a minute and then I dedicated the song to gay people. "It's off Empire. I don't know the name. Here I go.", Kevin stared at me and so did everyone else. "So what I'm gayyyy. It don't matter. God ain't made you no better than me. When I prayyyyy, he still answers maybe you should get down on your knees.", I sang with all my heart into it because I felt that song.

Everybody gave me a standing ovation and I blushed. The bell rang just as I was about to sit down. I grabbed my stuff. I forgot the note until Tatiyona reminded me. It read: Jazmine is plotting on jumping Simone is Mr. Lyon class.
