Kevin was looking hella sexy but he was like my brother so I couldn't look at him like that. But damn. "Heaven, take a picture, it'll last longer." Kevin said laughing. Jazmine started laughing too. "I was only staring at that "H.S" on your neck. Smart ass. And why you laughing Jazmine? You already took your offguard picture of him." I stated. Kevin changed the subject. "So are y'all gone get ready or not?" Jazmine ran out my room as Simone yelled saying she was home. Simone and Jazmine had more in common so they were closer. " Kevin had on a green polo shirt with some blue jean Levi's and some green and black Jordan's. I slicked picked out an outfit to match his.
I got in the shower and did all my hygienes. I put on my green polo v-neck shirt, my blue jean jeggings, with my green and blue nikes. I stepped out the connected bathroom to Simone room. "Damn shawty bad!" Simone and Jazmine said in unison. They was ready, waiting on me. I walked back through the bathroom to my room. Kevin was sitting at my computer looking around at all my pictures.
Kevin's P.O.V
Heaven was always the one to take the longest to get dressed. She'd be late to her on funeral. I'm looking at Heaven's computer stand and there are a lot of pictures especially of Heaven and Jeremiah. Jeremiah was one of my bestfriends and I couldn't make it home to his funeral. I stared at this picture of me and Jeremiah. Heaven was in the shower so I had time to talk to my boy. "JayMan, remember when you and Tashayetta got caught in our moma closet. Remember when I first told you I was in love with Heaven. You're the only to know that. I miss you. I call your number everyday hoping one day you'll pick up. You've been gone two weeks already. I couldn't make it home last week to lay you to rest. But bro I'm here now to have some closure. I promised you in 8th grade that I'll always look out for Heaven and Simone. And that's a promise I'll always keep." Tears started coming down my face. "JayMan, watch over me and I'll watch over Heaven and Simone for you. I miss you bro. I love you. Sleep in peace Jeremiah ."
I looked up from the picture only to see Heaven, Simone and Jazmine watching me. They were crying with me so I wondered what all did they hear.
Heaven's P.O.V
"Look I'm sorry about all that. I just needed for him to hear me. So he can know I do miss him a lot." Kevin explained. I wiped away my tears and reapplied all my makeup and so did Simone and Jazmine. "Boodie, it's okay. I'm glad you got your closure. But what was that about you being in love with Heaven?" Simone laughed. "Shut up MeMe!" I yelled. "Come yall the party started at 8, it's 8:30. And we riding in Kevin's Escalade because we fly as hell today." Jazmine said grabbing her phone. "What my car ain't fly enough for y'all today? Let's see who you be riding with when Kevin go back to Tulsa." I said laughing but very serious. "Go on out, I'll be out in a minute."
Everybody went outside and got in the truck. I had to kiss my brother goodbye. I picked up a picture of Jeremiah and I when we were 7 months. "JayMan, I miss you so much. I'm gonna have some fun tonight. Cus I know you don't want me sad. Love you baby brother by 2 minutes." I kissed the picture and laid it on my bed. I grabbed my phone, turned off my light and headed to the truck.
Simone's P.O.V
"Jazmine! Now you know Puma gone sit in the front." I yelled. Kevin was cute as hell but I knew he had a thing for Puma. Jaz sat in the back with me and we waited on Puma. We saw her bedroom light go out so we knew she was coming.
Kevin's P.O.V
Damn Heaven look good. She matching like we together. I mean, we would make the power couple. She opened the passenger door and got in. "Heaven, do you still sing?" I asked her. "Naw, I sang at Jeremiah's funeral but I'm not into it no more." Heaven replied. "Sing for me girl stop playing." I said in my sexy voice. Jazmine and Simone was in the back acting like it got hot or something, fanning theirselves. "I'll never forget where I come from, I'm from bottom. The shoes on my feet, I remember where I got em. When I didn't have a car I was on the bus stop, when I needed cash I was selling crack rock..." Heaven had the most precious singing voice I've known. She finished the song right as we pulled up to the house party. "Oh hell no! This bitch bold as hell!" Heaven yelled and got out the car.
