Richie was quickly getting ready. He had just changed into a nirvana shirt, ripped jeans, and his black converse. He was trying to style his hair, but failing so he just left it how it was. He was also wearing his classic accessories like his rings and earrings.

He suddenly heard a ring on his doorbell. "ASH CAN YOU GET IT!" He yelled. No answer. "ASH?"

He sighed and went into her room where she wasn't. She wasn't downstairs either so Richie had no choice, but to open to door. Let's just say, he didn't expect to see the person standing at the foot of his doorway. "Eddie?" He said out of shock.

"Richie," Eddie confirmed. They didn't say anything else, they just got lost in each other's eyes.

Eddie looked different. He was now around 5'5 and not 5'2. The top of his hair was bleached blonde and his hair was more curly than it used to be. His style had also changed, but the biggest change was that he lost the fanny pack. He was wearing a sky blue long-sleeved shirt, his soccer jacket, black and white plaid paints, and pinkish-red and white air force ones.

"Um come in. The others should be arriving soon." Richie smiled. They both sat on the couch and waited for around 20 minutes.

"Stanley said that you knew I was coming."

"Well I didn't and they said they were all going to be he-."

They both froze with realization. "Ohhhhh." They both said at the same.

"Why do they want us to date so bad?" Eddie sighed laughing slightly.

"I know right. Like you have a girlfriend!" Richie laughed awkwardly.

"Right!" Eddie exclaimed.

There was an awkward silence before Richie spoke. "Nice hair."

"I know it looks bad. I'm getting it dyed back next week. I did it to piss off my mom." Eddie said quickly out of embarrassment.

"It's okay Eddie. I like it." Richie smiled reassuringly.

"You do?" He smiled.

"Yeah. It makes you look older. Don't get it died back because Stephanie doesn't like it. Don't let her control your life like you let your mom." Richie answered honestly. Eddie went silent as he looked at his feet. "But anyway, I'm going up to my room because it's boring as shit down here."

Eddie nodded and followed Richie up the stairs to his bedroom. Richie's room looked different from when he saw it last, but the thing that stood out most to Eddie was a black guitar in the corner next to his beanbag and fish tank. It had a rainbows strap and a queen sticker on it. "You can play guitar?"

"Yeah." Richie smiled, surprised that was the first thing that caught Eddie's attention because he had a lot of rainbow shit in his room. "Want me to play for you?"

"Of course!" Eddie smiled. Richie grabbed the guitar and they sat down on the floor.

"Okay. I'm not the best so don't make fun." Richie said nervously.

"I'm sure you are amazing Richie." Eddie smiled brightly at the boy.

The song Richie had chosen was Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen.

This thing called love, I just can't handle it.

Eddie listened carefully to the words as they came off of Richie's lips and the beat came off his guitar. He was a surprisingly good singer.

It cries like a baby in a cradle all night

Eddie didn't quite get what it meant by that, but he continued listening.

I gotta be cool, relax. Get hip and get on my tracks. Take a back seat, hitchhike.

Richie felt himself having to control himself around Eddie because all he ever wanted to do was to kiss him. He had felt that way for the last 4 years.

This thing called love, I must get 'round it. I ain't ready. Crazy little thing called love. Crazy little thing called love. Crazy thing called love Crazy little thing called love.

Eddie kind of felt that way around Richie. Why had Richie chosen this song? "That was amazing Rich!" Eddie exclaimed with a big smile on his face.

"It was nothing. I've heard better... I mean I'm not very good, I messed up like 3 times-." Eddie put his hand on top of Richies and the boy stopped talking.

"Richie stop. You were good. You used to yell at me when I denied how important of a person I am, so don't make me do the same to you because I will." Eddie stated seriously. Richie just nodded, afraid of if he said something, he would mess everything up like he always did. "Do you want to go to the park? It sounds fun right now?"

"Sure Eds." Richie smiled.

Oh, now Eddie had missed that nickname. Richie was still the same old Richie. "Don't call me that."

Richie smiled. "Oh, how I missed you saying that every time I would call you Eds."

"Well, I didn't." Eddie sassed as he grabbed his bag and walked out to his bike.

They had been at the park all afternoon and it was getting dark and chilly now. "Jesus it's freezing out here," Richie stated.

"Yeah because you are a dumbass and didn't bring a hoodie and just stayed in a short-sleeved shirt."

"Fuck off." Richie scoffed. "Sorry to disappoint you prince charming, but I'm a dumbass. "On a serious note though, I am actually freezing."

Eddie sighed and took off his soccer jersey, holding it out in front of Richie and handing it to him. "Here. Take this."

Eddie could have sworn he saw Richie blush, but it was probably just from the cold. "Well, I gotta go."Richie rushed out. "Bye."

"Bye!" Eddie smiled as he watched the boy walk away. God, how bad he had missed that boy.

Richie walked through his house door where Ash was sitting on the couch. He was very flustered and smiley. "What happened to you bashful?" She smirked.

Richie rolled his eyes at his sister's happy and proud look. "Nothing! He just gave me his jacket because I was cold. I'm returning it tomorrow. Don't get excited."

"Yeah, but did you ask for the jacket?"

"No, but it's human decency! Don't make a big deal about it because face it, we are going to fight again and ruin everything we formed that's even slightly romantic. It sucks, but it's true."

Ash sighed. "He's been warned already." She smirked.

Richie looked mad now. "What! Why!"

"I talked to him. He's been warned." She shrugged. "You know you should just tell him you like him.

Richie let out a frustrated. "How about you stay out of my love life!" He yelled storming off to his room. He didn't know why he was so mad, she was right.
