Chapter 14

Today was the day. Eddie was going to do it. Hopefully by the end of the day, he would have a boyfriend.

They had decided on locking the two possible couples in a room until they confessed. They got Richie and Ash in on their opposite ones so the losers minus Ash were all waiting the lock Stephanie and Ash in a room.

They all walked into Ash's room where she was doing her makeup. "What do you want losers." She asked, not realizing Eddie slowly sneaking towards the door and turning the key to lock it and hiding the key.

"Take a guess." Richie smirked pushing Stephanie towards her as the losers ran out the door, Ash quickly reacted and tried to escape.

"Shit! I hate you guys." Ash groaned before she turned towards Stephanie. "I hate them."

"So do I even though I knew about this." She agreed. "So...."

"Sooo...." Ash nodded slowly. "I thought they were just doing this to Eddie and Richie."

"Well.... I accidentally told Eddie something and it led to this."

"I know what that thing is. I like you too." Ash smiled stepping closer to Stephanie.

"Really?"

"Yeah." Ash smiled.

The losers let them out and when they all were in the hallway Richie spoke. "Look guys..." They all turned towards him besides Eddie who kept his eyes on the floor. "I know you are going to lock me in there with Eddie."

Eddie looked up and Stan spoke. "You do?"

Richie nodded. "Can you guys give us some privacy? I need to talk to Eddie. Alone. Also by that I mean can you all go do something not in this house because I don't want you guys eavesdropping."

They all nodded and left. Richie and Eddie sat on the stairs in silence. Richie was the first to break it. "I'm so sorry Eddie. I've been an idiot."

"No Richie. You didn't do anything wrong. You were right, I started all this fighting when we were 8th grade because I was scared."

"Of what?" Richie asked, confused.

Eddie took a deep breath. "I like you Richie. I like you a lot. I've been to busy denying it to realize i've been hurting you. I'm sorry."

Richie smiled. "I like you too Eds. In fact I have since 6th grade. I sorry for being an asshole and starting fights for no reason."

Eddie nodded and they sat in a awkward silence with very thick tension between them. "Rich-."

Richie then did what he had been wanting to do for 5 years. He kissed Eddie. Eddies lips were soft and he tasted like a bunch of mint toothpaste. Unlike Richie, Eddie had the chance to be prepared for a potential kiss.

Eddie was shocked at first, but he quickly kissed back, immediately tasting Richies cigarette breath. Both boys pulled away smiling before reconnecting their lips into another kiss.

When they pulled away Richie spoke. "Holy shit. You don't know how long i've wanted to do that Kaspbrak."

Eddie smiled and rested his head on Richies shoulder, connecting their fingers.
