Worlds Apart

Leia's Pov

"It is my honor to introduce you to our beloved princess, the heir to the throne, the heir of the watchers Leia Elizabeth Renaldi."

I heard the court Marshall call my name which was my cue to walk through the doors. This is like the 100th formal ball that I have attended but this one is especially special because I'm being announced as the Commander of the Royal Army Forces and the only heir to the throne.

Everyone is here today. Even Gabriel and his pack with thousands of packs, covens and communities...

It has been six years since I've seen the people that I've missed so much. Mom, dad, Jared, Alpha, Luna and especially little Kayla. She must have been around 11 now. Oh yeah Gabriel...

I know exactly what I will do when see him. Nothing.

My emotions have changed during my departure from him. It was so hard feeling everything he felt that I had to shut my emotions down for a while, then after 3 years I opened them up. Yeah we have a power like that as weird as that sounds..

I walked through the doors anxiously with my long strapless red mermaid style gown. My long chocolate brown  hair is swept to my left shoulder showing off my earrings. And my grayish-blue eyes are focused on thing and one thing only...

My feet... in order not to fall. Then I feel like I've been stalked. I feel like someone's eyes are constantly on me. Yes everyone's eyes are on me because I was just called but there is one person that makes me feel weird.

I turned to the crowd looking for that person and it happens to me, Gabriel...

I walked to my parents (real ones).

"Baby you look breath taking." my mom hugged me tight.

"You really do look fascinating sis." says William.

"Thank you mom and thank you Will. Where is Alice?" I asked my sister- in-law. She has been one of my best friends ever since she and Will met 4 years ago. They married 2 years ago and have a little guy, Jacob, one years old. I was so happy when I became an aunt that I actually cried at his birth. He is the love of my life.

"Well, well, well. You cleaned up well my princess." I heard Bran, one of the knights of mine and best guy friend.

"Hey, I can say the same thing to you, Bran." I laughed with him.

What I didn't realized was Alpha Anderson and his Luna were behind me with Gabriel...

"My princess, you look incredible. It is an honor." said the Luna

"Luna Elaine the honor is mine. Thank you so much for coming. I missed you all a lot."

"Leia..." I heard Gabriel call my name.

I waited so long to hear his voice call my name with regret but I wasn't feeling anything anymore. He was the one who pushed me around. I have to say that I was grateful to him for rejecting me because if he had't then I would still be that shy, insecure girl from 6 years ago and not the Commander of the Royal Army, not the Queen to be or not the most powerful creature that has walked on earth.

You've spoken like a true Queen... said Aria

Like it was supposed to be.  I answered

"Alpha Gabriel. It is great to see you here. I'm sincerely happy that you could make it. But I couldn't see Kayla. I really wanted to see her since it has been so long."

"She had to stay. As you know she has school your highness." Luna answered

"Of course. Please tell her that I said hi." I said still not looking at him.
