Brand New Day

"Are you kidding me right now?" I couldn't help but express my shocked state with a yell when I saw the roses on my bed with a note from Gabriel.

It would be my honor to take you on a date. I will be waiting for your response.

"Oh my god!" Jelena laughed when she saw the note over my head.

"There is nothing to laugh about. This is outrages. Is he serious? How can he think that I would accept anything from him?"

Like it wasn't enough to be constantly hit on by him every single day since the day of the promotion, now he comes into my room secretly and puts roses on my bed with a ridiculous note.

"He seemed pretty serious to me honey. I mean he still thinks he has a chance obviously." Jelena said mockingly.

" This is the guy who bullied me relentlessly for years and now he thinks he will fix everything with some flowers and a note which is asking me for a date. What a nerve he has." I was pacing in my room furiously while Jelena was making herself comfortable on my bed, munching an apple.

" Okay calm down for a second and listen. You have no intention on going back to him but apparently he doesn't realize it. There is nothing we can do about it. He will understand eventually. We however can't wait for eventually because we have training with the high ranking soldiers and as their commander you, my darling, are getting late. So put some clothes on and let's go."

She is right. I heard Aria whisper in my head.

No matter how much I wanted to stay here and stay angry at him, I could hear the soldiers gathering on the training ground. This wasn't the time for this. It was time for me to be the commander and that only.

"I can feel the eyes of the archers who are looking for you. Go, I'll get ready and be there in a sec." I said to Jelena in a more relaxed state.

"Yes ma'am." She said saluting. Damn she knows how to agitate me!

"Don't ever call me ma'am! I'm not a ma'am. Do I look like a ma'am?"

"Yes ma'am." She laughed and ran

I shook my head and went into my walk in closet. I put on a pair of Adidas shorts and a sports bra, put my shoes on and walked towards my balcony. It was looking towards the training ground. My room was at the 5th floor and I knew just the right thing to catch the attentions of the soldiers who were standing there talking to each other. There were so many of them today even if I changed the training hours of the lower ranking soldiers. That might be because these weren't only my soldiers.

Now that I look at them closely, I realized that the reason why my father requested the alphas, and the leaders of the covens and the other communities of the kingdom to stay was because he wanted them to join us for the training. If all the high rankings are in here it means my brother, Jared was in here too. I can't wait to see him even if I was a little angry at my father.

I can't believe he hadn't told me. Well it doesn't matter how many people are in here, I know the thing I must do and the person I should be at the moment. I will be the commander, not the princess, not a vulnerable girl but a leader.

I whistled to get everyone's attention and when I made sure that every eye was on me, I jumped from the balcony. I heard the scared breathings and people yelling but what they didn't know was I was used to doing this.

When I landed on my feet, they were looking at me shocked but mostly with awe.

"Now that I have your attention, I would like you to listen to me very carefully. I will put you in groups before we start so that the training ground won't be in chaos." I heard laughter from all around when it dimmed I continued.
