Lizzie pov (before she left):
I look back at y/n before stepping in the car and closing the door. The driver nods at me silently asking if I am ready to leave now and I nod my head back in response.
I am not a party person and can get anxious sometimes especially if I am going alone, but I think I am going to be okay. As we are driving there I reflect on the moment I just shared with y/n. God, I can just get lost in her eyes. It's like every time I look at her I just freeze and don't know what to do.
This whole thing moved pretty fast and I still don't even know how it all happened but I'm glad it did. Y/n seems like an amazing person and I love living on her farm. I don't mind doing any of the chores and quite enjoy it. Obviously, I love the garden the most though.
We have spent a full week together now and it was amazing. I am comfortable around there and can get things for myself whenever I need them.
Y/n still insists on getting everything for me which I accept sometimes but like being able to get them on my own. What's not great is my urge to kiss her every time I see her. I need to get that in control before I scare her off. I have already planted one on her twice which she did return. But still, I need to calm down when I'm around her.
I don't know why but I am so attracted to her it's making me crazy. Actually, I know why... it's her perfect hair and smile and eyes. And don't even get me started on her body. She works out every other day, plus she carries around the farm equipment all day which means she is extremely strong.
Besides that, she is a wonderful person and we have amazing talks together every night which I love. I hope we continue to get closer because ugh she's just amazing.
My thoughts are stopped by the sound of music and the flashing lights coming out of the building.
"Your stop Ms. Olsen," the driver says putting the car in park.
"Thank you," I reply and grab my things before stepping out of the car.
Immediately I am swarmed by paparazzi, cameras flashing in every direction which stresses me out. I rush inside and squint my eyes because of the bright lights. A man walks over to me and says something but I can barely hear him because of how loud the music is.
"Pardon me?!" I say loudly so he can hear me.
"Your coat," he says and points down at the jacket folded across my arm.
"Oh right, thank you," I say and hand it over to him. I walk past the people guarding the entrance to the V.I.P area after showing them my ID. I try to look for someone I recognize but it's hard to see through all the people dancing.
I finally see someone I know which at this point is great because I was getting ready to walk out. I walk over to her sitting down at the bar and smile.
"Oh my god, Elizabeth Olsen! How are you doll?" She greets excitedly.
"I'm doing great Kathryn (Hahn)! How are you?"
I ask back trying to be polite."I'm just wonderful! Here have a seat," she offers and I gladly accept and sit down. "So what have you been doing on your week off work?" She asks and I think for a minute before replying. I can't tell her the truth that I am staying with y/n especially after I told her she couldn't tell her friends or family. I make up a dumb excuse instead.
"Oh not much. I've been hanging out at a motel, chilling out. Went for a couple of drives to look at the farms around here since there isn't much to do around here. What about you?" I ask trying to change the subject.
"Oh, you know the usual, parties, drinking. You seem a bit off today. Are you ok?" She asks looking into my eyes.
"Yeah, I'm ok. I just haven't been to a party in a while and the lights and music are kinds of bothering me. That's all." I say this is true, but it's not the only reason.
"Mhmm well if that's all it is. Do you want to go outside then?"
I nod and we walk through the back door so we don't have to pass the crowd and we sit on the little bench across the street. We sit in silence for a few minutes while I think to myself, I would much rather be on the farm with y/n right now. It kind of sounds stupid but I miss being around her already and I've only been gone for a couple of hours. I should just forget about it for a while and try to have fun while I'm here.
My thoughts are silenced when Kathryn speaks, "So what's the real reason you are being weird?" She asks and I sigh. I really can't tell her about y/n no matter how much I want to. Not yet at least.
"I'm just a bit stressed about filming Wanda Vision. I really want it to go well because I know how excited the fans are and I don't want to let them down. It just feels like a lot sometimes. But I'm sure you understand." I say hoping my other feelings will distract from the ones I am hiding.
"Yes, I understand completely. I feel the same all the time. I just know it is going to turn out amazing and all of our hard work will pay off. Now stop worrying about the future and get your party on girl!" She says as she stands up and shakes her hips making me giggle.
"Thanks, Kathryn. You're the best," I say and hug her before we head back inside.
The rest of the party is going well until I am on the dance floor. I am enjoying dancing with Kathryn when I woman slides in between us and starts dancing around me, and not innocently I might add. Usually, I enjoy this kind of stuff but it's just reminding me of being close to y/n again. God, I wish she could get out of my head! But at the same time, I'm glad she is in there.
I step away from the woman who was dancing around me and plop myself onto a barstool so I can check my phone. No messages or calls from y/n. Well, I guess she's just busy or went to bed.
I order one last drink before saying goodbye to Kathryn and a few other people I see on my way out. I call a cab to pick me up and while I am waiting I decide where I am going to go. I have the hotel booked for the night, but at the same time, I just want to go back to the farm and see y/n. I'm sure she won't mind me changing my plans.
The cab pulls up and I tell the driver where I am headed. He nods and drives away from the party. I did have fun but I'm glad to be leaving now. As I am waiting to arrive, I pull out my phone to answer some messages and emails that I have been avoiding while on vacation. A while later I arrive and realize I don't have a key, shit!
I remember y/n telling me there was a spare key hidden on the farm and I know exactly where it is. The chicken coop. Oh god. Out of all places. Why there? I mentally prepare myself to go into the chicken pen while I make my way over to it. I open the gate and step inside shutting the door behind me.
I walk up to the chicken coop and open the door slightly reaching my hand around the corner to grab the key sitting on a board of wood. Just as I grab the keg one of the chickens runs past me heading for the gate. I scream and then brace myself for what I have to do. In my heels, I chase the chicken down running around trying to catch it and bring it back in the coop. I catch up to it and leap over it grabbing on tight but not enough to hurt it. Holding my arms out straight I bring the chicken back into the coop and quickly shut the door.
I will not be telling y/n about that, I think to myself and giggle at how funny I probably looked. I grab the key and make my way back to the front door, catching my breath after running around like a crazy person. Once the door is unlocked I quickly open it hoping I don't wake her up. I step inside and put all my things down that I left at the front door when I went to get the key.
I get ready for bed and make my way into y/n room. All the lights are off which means it's really dark and I don't want to turn the lights on now because they are bright and y/n can see them from the office room. I climb into bed and something feels a bit off but I ignore it. I fall asleep quickly after the night I just had and am excited to see y/n in the morning.
