We start walking and I open the gate to the chicken pen. She walks in and I lock the gate behind us. She looks a bit nervous this time so I ask her what's wrong.

"Lizzie?"

"Uh yeah?" She says and steps closer to me.

"Are you okay?" I ask

"Yeah, I'm ok. Just a little afraid of chickens. When I was little I got attacked by one and have been a little shaky around them ever since."

I make eye contact and can tell she's pretty nervous. I never knew someone can be afraid of chickens since they're pretty harmless. Nonetheless, I hold out my hand hoping to provide some kind of comfort so she can still see them. She gratefully takes my hand and we walk towards the chickens.

"You okay?" I ask again wanting to make sure.

"Yeah, I'm good." She smiles. "So did you name the chickens too?" She asks.

"Nope. There are too many and a lot of them look identical."  I point out. I reach in front of her letting go of her hand to grab an egg I see sitting in the hay. I go back to where I was standing and hold it up proudly.

"These chickens lay the best eggs I have ever had!" I say smiling. I continue rambling on while she looks into my eyes and I don't even notice but I look down and realize she's holding my hand again. When did that happen?! I'm not complaining one bit though.

"How about we go see the goats now?" I ask. "No childhood trauma there right?" I make sure.

"Nope. I love goats!" She says, excited to leave the chicken pen. I tell her to stay outside the gate for a minute while I collect the rest of the eggs and put them in a basket. I still have to to my job even though I have a guest.

"Okay, I'm finished. Let's go!" I start skipping over to the goats and she runs along trying to catch up to me. I turn back and observe her trying to run in my big boots and laugh at how funny she looks.

"These are very hard to run in okay!" She laughs and I open the gate as she makes her way beside me.

"Just a heads up they are jumpy. Always have 2 feet on the ground so they don't knock you over." She nods in acceptance and goes to grab their food. I fill up their feeding area and bring the extra in a bucket towards the barn. I turn away and hear a bang and a moan so I quickly turn around.

"LIZZIE!" I shout. I run over to her laying on the ground with one hand covering her eyes and the other on her stomach.

"Are you ok?!" I say worried. "What happened?"

She groans, "I guess I didn't keep 2 feet on the ground." She says and makes eye contact before bursting out laughing. I relax and let go of the breath I didn't realize I was holding. I giggle at her goofy ness and hold out my hand to lift her.

"That's going to leave a big bruise," I say.

"I can feel it already." She responds.

"Let's go back to my house for a little bit then?" She nods and follows me. I notice she is limping a little bit so I wrap my arm around her lower back to help her back to my house. She looks up at me and I pull away not wanting to overstep and make her uncomfortable.

"What's wrong?" She asks me, confused by my actions.

"Oh, I just didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. I kinda just rushed in there to help you instead of asking first." I say shyly

"Wow. You are very sweet. I'm a very touchy person so I don't mind it at all. I feel comfortable around you too so don't worry." She says and puts my hand around her lower back again.

"I'm glad you're comfortable around me, I am around you too. My love language is actually touch which is funny. I can kinda tell yours is too." I say.

"Oh, it definitely is." She replies and throws her arm over my shoulders holding herself up as we walk to my house. It's not too far thank goodness.

We get back and I guide her to the couch so she can lay down. I grab an ice pack and wrap it around her knee and put another one on her hip where she fell. It's close to dinner now and I'm getting hungry.

"Are you hungry?" I ask her.

"I am actually. Are you?" She asks back.

"Very," I reply. "I assume you would like to stay for dinner?"

"It's the least you can do after your goats broke me." She jokes.

I roll my eyes, "Well in that case, what do you want to eat?"

"Something quick and easy." Lizzie grabs the remote to the tv and starts flipping through the channels.

"Sounds good to me. Is pasta okay then?"
She nods in approval and I get to work.

This still doesn't feel real and somehow I'm not panicking. Lizzie is exactly how I imagined her to be though. She's even better if that's possible. I wonder how long she is going to stay? She might want to go home after dinner after my goats dropped her on her ass.

"Lizzie?" I say.

"Yeah?" She responds.

"Why hasn't anyone come looking for you? Don't you have people tracking you down all the time for safety?" I ask, genuinely curious. I boil the water and put the pasta in stirring it occasionally.

"I told a couple of people that I was ok and that I was safe with a friend." She smiles.

"Oh ok." Oh my. I guess we're friends now.

She picks up her phone and starts laughing. She looks up at me and then back at her phone.

"What's so funny huh?" I blurt out.

"Remember how I sent Scarlett a photo of us and your avengers (the pigs)? While she responded." Lizzie says laughing again.

Oh god- "What did she say?"

"She said the pigs look strangely like the actual cast, with the laughing face too," She says picking her phone back up. "Oh, there's more. She asked who the girl next to me is."

"They do look a bit like the cast now that I think about it." I grin thinking about it.

She looks up at me and then types something. Oh? She's blushing now. I wonder what they are texting about.

"She uh, says you're really hot." She says avoiding eye contact.

"Did I hear that right? Scarlett Johansson just called me hot?" I laugh and blush a little. "And what did you say back?"

She waits a second and I can tell she's deciding either to tell me or not. "I responded with I know." She reveals. I start blushing even more.

MY FAVOURITE AVENGERS THINK I'M HOT?! I scream in my head not believing it.

"Well, you both aren't wrong," I say and flick my hair behind my shoulder with sass. Lizzie laughs and rolls her eyes which makes me smile. This is nice.

The idea for the goats knocking Lizzie down came from an experience I had at a farm when I was younger. The fall left a LOT of bruises haha.

As always, I hope you are enjoying reading! Next chapter is pretty exciting :)
