Y/N's POV ;

I run up to my room, forgetting about the audience watching me. As soon as I reach my room, I slam it closed.

I grab my phone out, put my earphone to connect to the device in my hand, and go on spotify. I put both earplugs in my ears, as I allow myself to drown everything out with the music playing.

I hide myself under the covers, listening to the music currently playing ; as all the words and instruments go in sync, I feel like I can breathe freely.

I really thoguht I was free of socializing, until the next thing I knew I heard knocking on the door. "Y/N? We know you're in there, can we come in?" Aether's muffled voice came from the other side of the door, as I hear the door creak.

"mhm." I hear their footsteps as they slowly step inside my room. I don't want to say it in a mean way, but I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone.

Normally, I like staying alone when i'm sad or mad. Or it's just that i'm used to it.

"Would you like to talk about it?" Aether said as he sat beside you on the bed, whereas Venti sat on the end of the bed.

"Talk about what." It's normal for them to ask, but I would've appreciated it if they hadn't.

"Um.. what happened when you- talked, to someone on your 'phone'?" Aether said that really awkwardly, indicating that he's still getting used to all of the terms and names of things here on Earth.

"Just an annoying example of horrible men who called. Nothing special." I think about hearing his voice through the phone, and the words we exchanged. I hope mom and dad don't find out.

'Please just leave already. Please.' I squeeze my eyes shut.

I feel them looking at me. I thought it'd be different- but their looks are the same as theirs.

As much as I want them to leave, the thought of making them feel sad made my heart drop to my stomach.

"Would you like us to stay and accompany you here instead? You don't need to say anything." Aether asked, turning his head away from me. I would've thought he'd be sad because of my replies from earlier.

"...yes."

"Ngh..." I wake up, turning to the side, as I slowly open my eyes. My eyes widen as I see Aether, sleeping, turned to me.

'But wait a second, if Aether's here then-!'

I turn to my side to expect Venti, but he isn't there.

Turned out, he was on the floor.

I try to sit up cautiously, so that Aether and Venti wouldn't wake up.
