I see Y/N enter through the door.

I lean on the counter, as we make eye contact.

'Shall I take Moraxs' advice right now?'

The girl sighs, "..Alright. What were you saying again?" as she refers to my cut off sentence a while back.

I take a small breath, for archons know why, and start talking.

"I—"

"HEY HEY!!" Barbatos, the Traveler, and Paimon come down from the stairs.

"OH. GOODMORNING TO YOU TOO MR. SLEEP ALL DAY AFTER DRINKING ALL OF
Y/N'S ALCHOHOL." Y/N says angrily at Venti.

"Aha... *Gasp* Well if it isn't who I think it is.. Xiao, and Y/N? In the same place.. not fighting.. Traveler, is this what I think it is???" Venti continues, pausing to look at the Traveler, who looks at Paimon, who looks at me.

"IS THIS.. FRIENDSHIP?" Venti says cheerily.

Y/N's POV ;

Xiao simply looked away, so I answered instead.

"Well, Xiao was about to say something until a certain someone came and interrupted." I say while visibly rolling my eyes.

I turn back to Xiao "Anyways, what were you going to say?"

Xiao stays silent for a second, almost looking like he was hesitant.

".. I think you should tell Zhongli and Diluc that they're able to come out of their rooms now." He reminded me.

"OH YEAH! OK I'LL BE RIGHT BACK" I say as I sprint up the stairs.

3RD PERSON POV WITH XIAO , ETC. ;;

Meanwhile over with the traveler . .

"Paimon thinks that reminding Zhongli and Diluc wasn't the the only thing Xiao was gonna say... Is that just me?" Paimon says as soon as Y/N left.

"What are you implying?" Venti asks the floating fairy like 'thing'.

"Ugh, you all are so slow when it comes to.. that." Paimon rolls her eyes and points to Xiao, as he stands confused with his arms crossed.

"Hm—..Elaborate if you please." Xiao calmly replies.

Paimon furrows her eyebrows, shaking her head, "Nevermind! Traveler understands, don't you??" .  Traveler nods, as Paimon lets out an exhausted and yet relieved sigh.

"Anyway— Xiao, don't say anything to Y/N, but Zhongli and Diluc snuck out." Traveler explains to Xiao.

"What? Why would they do such a thing? To venture without the rest of the group in an unknown place.. That's quite unlike them."

and just then, Y/N shouts from upstairs.

"WHERES DILUC AND ZHONGLI???" as she runs down the stairs, having a panicked look on her face.

"Should they not be upstairs?" Xiao responds calmly with a raised brow, acting like he hadn't heard anything the traveler had just said a couple minutes ago.

"If they were, i wouldn't be asking right now." Y/N said with a slight tone.

"Perhaps they are outside? Maybe you haven't checked the whole house?" Venti says, pretending to look at the backyard.

"Yeah! After all, your house is REALLY big!" Paimon chimes in.

"OKAY IM GONNA GO CHECK THE REST OF THE HOUSE ILL BRB" as Y/N again runs in another direction of the house.

"So, why did they sneak out?" Xiao questions Paimon and the Traveler.

"Well, apparently they wanted to check out the area just to get used to the enviroment. They kept saying stuff like how this isnt one bit similar to Teyvat, etcetera etcetera.." Paimon trails off.

"I'm sorry WHAT." Y/N's voice projected from upstairs, to down in the kitchen.

The rest of us freeze almost instantly. We all thought that we were out of her hearing range.

"Why would they do that? My parents have cameras around the house OUTSIDE." Y/N says, panicking.

"Oh! You mean the device from Teyvat where you can take pictures?" Paimon chimes in, acting like a know-it-all.

"NO. Cameras installed to this house can allow a person to see what is happening through the said camera in any place at any time from their phone. If my parents get on right now and see two grown men around my house, they might as well call the police!" Y/N rambles.

"Oh! Uhm— then I think we should tell you that they actually told us that—" Venti's cover up was cut off by a voice unexpected.

"That it was a prank." Diluc continues, as he walks down the stairs with Zhongli right behind him. He explains more.

"We wanted to see what more would upset you if we were to do something that you weren't informed of."

Y/N is furious at this point. "Do you know how bad of an idea was that? My parents could have seen you! The police could've been called here, thinking you were robbing my house! The police are basically the mililleth of earth." the words burst out of her mouth almost so quick they couldn't understand her.

Zhongli and Diluc's faces show they were just hit with huge amount of realization.
It had just popped up in their heads again about how Y/N isn't even supposed to be sheltering them right now.

Regret fills their minds.

Silence is the only thing passed around the room, and they all just glance at one another or stare down.

"Y'know what, it's fine. I should've said you guys shouldn't go out. Don't worry about it. I'll be in my room if you need me." Y/N says as she hastily makes her way back upstairs, and closes her room door.

"Forgive me for asking, but was that really all just a prank?" Xiao asks the two, breaking the silence.

"No. We did sneak around the area, but before we could come back in, we could already hear Y/N's voice echoing through the house from the back door. So, we snuck back in through a window from upstairs." Zhongli explains the situation.

"We added onto Venti's last comment before we revealed ourselves. We had to sneak around the area, just in case she was still hiding something. We just got here, remember? I know that some of you have already warmed up to her, but we have to stay on our guard." Diluc reminds us all. And to be honest, he was right. We could be taken as fools. We were trusting so easily.

We were already forgetting where we came from and just how many "nice" people have fooled us. This place could end up no different.
