Hello everyone! So I'm sure by now, some are you are a bit confused as to what's happening in the book and where the plot is heading, and – I'm going to be real with you guys – I changed my mind partway through writing.
In the initial plot that I'd sketched out, Margot meets Jimin in the cafe, she's persuaded to join them on tour and get to know him, they start to get closer but then stuff happens and- you get the point.
There are two main reasons I decided not to do that. One: it felt too similar to other things I'd read and I didn't like that. And two: up until now, all you know of Margot is that she's 'ill' and most of the relationships in her life haven't been the definition of healthy; mainly in the way that she's not in control of her own life. Oh, and also that she doesn't want a soulmate.
And so, you can see why the thought of her being persuaded into going away with a bunch of people she doesn't know and "forced" into a life with someone she didn't want to meet, just didn't sit right with me and felt like I was missing the point of my own book.
So, I decided to do this instead.
But before I go on, I just want to address something that I'm sure some of you have been wondering: how are they ever going to get together if she's gone away and doesn't want a soulmate?
(sidenote: that sounds like a great description of the book, lmao)
Well... first I just want to say that sometimes we don't get that fairytale story we're expecting, and sometimes the two main characters don't get together. But while that can be fun to write, it's not so fun to read so you can rest assured, I don't plan to end the book in a bittersweet way though it won't be a typical soulmate au ending.
I also want to tell you guys that I'm really packed right now with work and trying to write another one of my stories because of a fast-approaching deadline, and don't have time these days to write SL.
I IN NO WAY PLAN OR WANT TO DROP THE STORY AND LEAVE IT UNFINISHED! However, I will have to take a short pause at least until late Nov, or Mid Dec. Thank you all for your understanding, and the next/next-next should clear up all the questions you might have regarding the story.
I hope you've enjoyed the story so far and I look forward to picking it back up again. I love you guys so much!!
