Jimin first person pov:My legs slide closer to my chest and my toes curl against the soft material of my blanket automatically. Drawing my arms in closer and leaning further back into my pillows with my book held up to my face with both hands, I bite my lip and fail to suppress a smile.
My knees start to bounce up and down together as my eyes speed over the words lit up by my bedside lamp. Unconsciously, my grip tightens and my eyes widen. My heart pounding from emotions of fiction, I begin to silently and uselessly, beg the author and character
Please.
Come on.
Just tell her how you feel!
How can you not see she likes you too!!!
Tell her, tell her!!
YES!!!
Reading over the magic words I've waited thirty long chapters to see, I grin and my shoulders start to wiggle in celebration. But then my eyes catch something else, and my stomach starts to clench with anticipation and hope again.
Ohhhh Myyyy Goooood!!
Yes!!
Come on!!
Please!!
Kiss her!! Kiss her!!!
"JIMIN-AH!!!!!" I jump in bed hearing Hoseok Hyung yell my name and bolt up into a sitting position, throwing my book under the covers, and trying not to blush as he barges into our room not three seconds later.
"Jin Hyung wants our help making dinner," he says plopping down on his own bed, slightly wrinkling his neat covers.
"Ah, alright I'm coming." I try to say in a calm voice, but it comes out slightly squeaky and he gives me a questioning look before smiling and tilting his head at me.
"What were you doing?" he asks and looks at the state I'm in.
"Nothing," I mumble and look down at my blanket. "... Just reading."
"Ahh," he chuckles, "and was this one of the books that "shouldn't be recommended to ARMY?""
"Noooo," I half whine and stick the bookmark in my open book under the covers, closing it with a quiet thud.
Climbing out of my comfortable and warm bed, I slip on my slippers and together we walk out of our room and down the hall. "What are we making?" I ask as I follow him down the steps.
I get my answer a few moments later when we walk into the kitchen finding a very annoyed looking Jin Hyung glowering at the cabinets and the refrigerator as if they'd done him a great injustice.
"We have NO food in this house besides ramen, banana milk, and a very old-looking take-out americano coffee!" he groans and drops his head into his hands. "I swear if Yoongi left another coffee in here for three weeks-"
"I don't think you know him very well if you think he'd leave coffee unfinished," I say trying to lighten the mood but when Jin Hyung picks his head out of his hands with an evil look and mutters "Kim Namjoon." I think I might have sentenced another Hyung to death by Jin Hyung instead.
"But we still have sprite left, right?" Hoseok Hyung pushes past him to check another cupboard and sighs with relief at seeing three more cans of un-opened sprite.
"Yes, but that doesn't solve dinner," Jin Hyung says blowing out a breath. "We're supposed to start eating healthier again and we can't do that if we don't have any actual food."
