(Jay's FoV)
Once we finished our breakfast, me and Notchy got dressed while Jubilea stayed outside. I was a bit unsure, he had some quite thin clothes and it was gonna be cold today.
I glanced at my wardrobe before sighing and getting up, looking for something. Notchy tilted his head at that. "What are you doing?", he asked. "Picking out something for Jubilea. I feel bad for him, he pretty much only wears that thin hoodie and sweatpants. And it's gonna be cold again today. So I don't want him freezing.", I explained, picking out a warm jacket I don't usually wear anymore. Notch nodded a bit, understanding. "Makes sense.", he admitted, thinking. Eventually he left the room to go grab something.
I followed out of the room and signaled Jubilea to come back into the room. He looked at me confused, but did just that. "Yeah?", he asked. I smiled and handed him the jacket. He looked at it surprised, tilting his head. "Huh?", he mumbled, taking it hesitantly. "Why did you give me that?"
"Because it's gonna be cold and I don't want you to get sick."
"Oh, uh... Thanks."
He put it on hesitantly. It was way too big on him, nearly reaching to his knees. I scratched my head. "Oh, uh, didn't expect that to turn out so big...", I embarrassedly admitted.
Jubilea just looked at me before smiling and hugging himself a bit, obviously being comfy.
"If you want, you can keep it. I don't wear it anyway.", I offered. He agreed and thanked me happily. I chuckled a bit, finding it somehow cute.
He was really adorable. If you don't know his other side, you wouldn't be able to believe what happened in Greed all those years ago.
We headed back to Notch, who had managed to get a jacket and a scarf too. I chuckled and watched him as he handed it over to Jubilea. Said realm was very surprised, but gladly took it and thanked him. Notchy handed me my jacket as well, acting like a gentleman and helping me put it on. I giggled and let him do so, taking that opportunity to give him a small kiss on the cheek. He blushed a bit, but returned the favor.
He got his own jacket too and we left the house, heading to a cafe. Jubilea told us we'd meet someone there.
Once there I looked around, frowning. Except for a dude with grey hair and eyes and a young lady, there was pretty much no one.
The lady was hidden by a black cloak, so her body wasn't visible, neither was her face.
But she was wearing a crown. Well, sort of. I'd almost say it looks like Loki's crown...?
Notch frowned a slight bit, but eventually shook his head as if he just threw away this thought.
"Soooo why did you call us up, Jub?", the guy, whom I recognized as Pride, aka Pietro, asked calmly. Jubilea explained the situation while the two listened.
Once done the girl sighed. "Fine, let's go to that moron. You're not even my type, Jubilea, this guy is just a douchebag.", she mumbled. "You deserve much better."
With her in tow we marched to Xander, and now I could see how terrfied Jubilea turned once we got close to the castle. He started looking at the ground nervously and fiddling with his thumbs.
At the castle we noticed Xander sitting on his throne, quietly eyeing his staff and grumbling a bit. I raised an eyebrow, confused. "Xander?", I asked. He frowned and looked over to us. "Hello. What are you doing here?", he asked, rather neutral to all of us.
But he hasn't even once looked at Jubilea.
Jubilea hesitated, realizing that too. The girl luckily took over, saving him from the awkwardness.
"You know, you're in the wrong, bud. Jubilea never once cheated, but judging by how much you hate him, I assume you think he did. But no, that's not the case. You see, Jubilea brought me home from my therapy and the other way around. My daughter recently passed away and I know Jubilea since quite a while, so I trusted him with taking care of my so I don't run in front of a car.", she explained, confident. Xander silently listened before he cleared his throat. "Well, that doesn't change that it looked odd. I found someone to love."
Jubilea stared at him, heartbroken. "w-what...?", was all he could whisper, tearing up. I started growling.
Notch knew what was gonna happen now, so he sighed and took a step back, covering his ears.
I went full on Mom-Mode on Xander, yelling at him at how stupid he is for leaving such a precious bean. I tore him a new one by telling him what happened after he broke up, how much Jubilea cried because he lost his lover (as if it wasn't obvious enough by his tearstained cheeks).
Xander listened for a while before turning to Jubilea. "Is that true?", he asked. "Did you miss me that much?"
"Yes!", Jubilea whimpered, still shocked and teared up. "Yes I did! You were the only person I loved, who truly made me happy for once! And then you go and believe that bitch! You break up with me and leave me in the dust!"
Xander eyed him a bit before he got up. Jubilea was a trembling mess by now, his breathing uneven and shaky.
Xander however just came over and put his hand on his cheek, caressing it. "I... didn't realize how much that hurt you, Jub. I apologize. It was stupid of me to believe that dude without listening to your side of stories...", he mumbled. Jubilea sniffed and removed some tears. "Yeah, that really was stupid. Especially breaking up with me right afterwards...", he mumbled, glancing up at him.
Xander sighed, obviously feeling bad. "I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?", he asked softly, caressing his cheek.
The only reply Jubilea gave was pulling him into a deep kiss.
I smiled, much calmer now. Notch relaxed too, enjoying that sight.
Mission accomplished.
