(Nighty's FoV)

When I woke back up, I found myself in a small room, but not one I recognized. It was a mere room made of quartz and stone bricks, lit up by a torch. I was lying on a bed in the middle of the room, so I sat up, rubbing my head. "Ow...", I mumbled, my bones making some weird sounds when I moved. I noticed some symbols on my arm and inspected them. They were drawn onto my arms, torso and legs in a deep red color, making me frown. There were also some loose chains wrapped around my lower arms, making sure I can't use any magic.
After a while of just inspecting this room I slowly got up, feeling extremely stiff and weird. I scratched the back of my head as I went to the door, opening it. Surprisingly, it was unlocked, so I stepped through.
"Oh, you're awake!", someone giggled. I turned to the voice, going a bit pale before looking up to the face of the speaker.
There was a massive Manticore, just sitting next to my room. She kindly smiled and lied down so she was on my level. "Hello, big one. What's your name?", she asked softly. I tilted my head a bit, needing a few moments. "Uh... N-Nightmare...", I eventually muttered out, still just staring. She giggled. "That name fits you! I'm Manticora, and welcome to your judgement!"
"Judgement?", I asked , a tad confused. She tilted her head. "Oh, were you never at one after you died?", she asked. I shook my head. "That's not what I meant. I was multiple times at one, just not here. This is a weird place...", I explained, looking at the dimly lit hallway. "I didn't even know there were multiple places...", she mumbled, surprised. "You're in TWOR, young man."
I turned back to her, my eyes wide. "I wasn't in TWOR when I died! How did I get here?!"
"The realms didn't react when you passed, so I brought you here. But, since you probably were only judged by the realms, this is gonna be really hard to get you through... Do you want to die or do you want to stay alive?", she continued. I didn't even hesitate. "I want to live! I have a daughter and a boyfriend, I can't just leave them behind!"
"How'd you die?"
"I stepped in between them and a big dragon when it attacked. I think it froze me and I had a shock from my allergy, so I collapsed. I'm not too sure tho, I wasn't quite expecting to get blasted into Oblivion."
"Oh!", Manticora exclaimed. "That means that maybe you'll have a chance! You sacrificed yourself!" I raised an eyebrow, but didn't ask further. What did catch my attention tho was when a guy came over, eyeing me. "I assume he's the one we have to judge?", he asked calmly. Manticora nodded. "Yup! He just woke up too, but he wasn't here when he last got judged. He was probably with the realms."
The guy eyed me before slowly nodding. "Well, that doesn't matter. The Lords will decide anyway, no matter what.", he told us before turning to leave. "You have 5 minutes before the trial, use them wisely. This could be your last 5 minutes of happiness."
"I'm not happy tho...", I mumbled and turned back to Manticora. "Great, so I'll probably die?"
"Depends on what the Lords will decide."
"Who are they, anyway?"
"They're three powerful beings, born a while before even Notch existed as far as I know. But I never really understood that anyway."
"Names?"
"They don't have names. But, between us, I think you'd probably like to call them Adon, Anubis and Cupid.", she winked at me. I was confused now. "Cupid? Adon? Anubis? Why those names?"
"One of them is, like, constantly vibing to music, the other one controls love and stuff, which will definitely come in handy, Adon however... He's the strict one. Cold, heartless bitch."
"So Jay, but as a lord?"
"Oh, you know Jaylord?"
"That pillow is a Lord too, dear god...", I muttered under my breath, sighing. "Yeah, we kinda made one big family. Hero and Red are a couple, me and Zephyr have a daughter called Althea, Jay and Notch, and Jura is still lonely I think, he constantly confuses me.", I explained, sighing. "Anyway, I think we should head to that trial hall... Not sure how I'm gonna get through that but okay."
Manticora nodded and led me down the hallway, past a billion or something rooms, and into a big hall, a courtroom. I stared at the doors for a while before sighing. "Who's my lawyer?", I asked. Manticora shrugged. "I assume someone will take that spot for you, if no one does, you're on your own.", she explained. I slowly nodded. "Something I have to remind myself off, or something I really shouldn't do?"
"Well, they're into memes, so maybe being a fun guy might help you. Always be honest, no matter how rough those questions will be. They're no fun, I know, and some might sound suspicious, but you always have to answer. If you need a break, just stay silent. Adon should give you one when you don't answer, he always does. Don't be rude, don't get mad, always be respectful, don't throw racial slurs, normal rules. Oh, and if you want to point with Cupid and Anubis, maybe tell them about your relationship and your child. Mentioning Red might help you too, Jura will pretty much not matter, but Jaylord... He'll make Adon perk up immediately. So try to mention as much of your family and your friends as possible, but not so it sounds like you're trying to talk yourself out of this. It'll be fine otherwise tho.", she told me. I nade a mental note of that, nodding a bit. "Alright... Then let's do this...", I said quietly. She nodded and opened the doors for me to step through into the massive room.
My heart sunk at the sight of the three people sitting behind their podiums, waiting.
And there was no lawyer.
