I open my eyes to see destiny looking over at the door and screaming" hey.... she is up.... Ashton, Luke, ... " she says looking back at me and smiling and holding.my hand" Katie....." she.says faintly through tears. " I'm..... sorry" i say" no.... it's not your fault. ...... I'm sorry" she says squeezing my hand.
Everyone piled into.my room" hey princess" Luke says" hey babe" Ashton said.right after..... I just nodded my head ." Doctor she's up " I.hear Scot scream down the hallway.
The next day
I was finally home. I didn't talk to anyone even though I was alright...... Luke and Ashton stayed in my room at all.times.... destiny would come and check up on me and the boys.i was really depressed because I caused all this commotion and I was supposed to die.
Ashton had to go see his mom and dad because his dad was sick. So Luke wouldn't leave at all now . " princess" he says . I sit up to see him" please talk to me.... it's just us..." he says sitting next to me" I should have died" I say. He just began to cry.. I look at him with a blank face" why are you crying" I say in a monotone voice" this Is all my fault... and even when we get you back you still wish you weren't here..... why?" He says " I just feel you would be better off without me" i say laying back down" so I'm acting like this when you are perfectly fine..... how do you think I would be if you died?...... i couldn't live with myself..." he says laying next to me. I didn't say anything. I got up and picked up my guitar and Sat next to Luke. .... all I did was play songs I didn't sing. He just sat and watched me..... " please....don't say you should've died" he says. I looked at him and said " you wanted me too so why not" I say. He just sat there" I know.... and I regret saying it....... I love you.." he says .... " I don't know if I can say that back" I say" what" he says looking hurt" that's what got me into all this..... that's what almost killed me..... i lost my best friends because of it " i say " why.." he says" what do you mean why" I ask" why can't I love any other girl as a friend. ... I am supposed to be loyal.... and I am but it's like I'm being told I cheated because I was being me... a great friend" he says putting his face in his hands" I don't know...... I used to wonder about things like that in high school.... but I just stopped caring what people thought. ....." I say putting the guitar on the floor. " I can't live without destiny...... or you" he says looking at me" well one of us is gonna leave at one.time....." I say leaving the room.
I began to walk outside because I couldn't talk about things like that anymore. Isaton the pavement and watched cars go by. My phone was going off like crazy. Text messages from Luke, Mikey, destiny and the others. I only reply Luke saying I was coming back.
I walked in and layed on the couch.I put in my head phones and listen to my music. I ended up falling asleep. In my dream I relived the night of the crash like i did every time is went to sleep. I could vividly see my head hitting the wheel and the window.
I woke up to see luke sitting next to destiny at the table. " hey prin.." he stopped and corrected his self so destiny wouldn't get mad " hey kate.... you okay.... you were acting weird when you were asleep" he says " yep had the same dream i had since the accident" i say rubbing my eyes " i have the same thing.... i dream about when i drove up to the hospital and all the stuff in between except you die and i end up going insne " he says. i couldnt even reply. so i stand up and smile at destiny....this is the most i have talked since i have been home.... i could tell she was happy to hear me talk. " im going in my room" i say leaving " okay..... you need me to come" luke says "I dont care" i say .
when i get in my room i fall on my bed and turn on the t.v. " destiny can come too" i tell him as he walked through the door " she is leaving cause jack is sick at home and she said she would help him" he says sitting on the floor "oh...... well i need to hang out with her more,,,,, and so do you" i say " i do hang out with her when you arent scaring me into thinking your going to hurt yourself" he says " you havent left my house since i got home luke "i say " well i will leave then" he says getting up. he walks out the door.. not even a minute later he pokes his head back in " do i really have to leave"he asks " no.... thats your desicion but dont tell destiny i said to stay.... i just got her back.. dont screw it up for me "i say smiling at him. " its a deal"he says sitting next to me.
