*Narrator's POV*

"Sir, you wanted to see me?" Deku says as he entered the room. Shota Aizawa was currently sat at his desk, which was caked in paperwork. There was a person wearing the school's gym uniform awkwardly sitting in the corner of the room with a book.

"Midoriya. Sit down." He says while gesturing to the seat. He takes a glance at the ginger girl, who was so invested in what she was reading she didn't notice him enter.

'Is this like, detention?' he asks himself before sitting down.

"So, I'm sure you're wondering why I asked to see you here."

"Am I in trouble?" Deku asks nervously as he felt his palms clam slightly. The way his former homeroom teacher phrased that question made him sweat profusely.

"No. I wanted to ask you if there was any availability on your work study for another sidekick."

"Oh right." Just a normal question. "Erm, I guess I'd have to ask Rumi about it, but I don't see why we can't facilitate another hero. Although if they want to do their study with specifically Mirko they won't get much. Since she's... y'know," He looks over to the other person in the room to see if she was paying attention, he whispers to his teacher, "pregnant."

"That's fine, I was recommending that she actually did it with you."

"mE?" he questions immediately. His teacher simply nods before replying,

"She's quite an intelligent person. And the way you focus on planning and using knowledge to take down a villain fits the type of hero she wants to be."

"Are you talking about the girl behind me?"

"Yes."

"Can I talk to her?" Mr. Aizawa stood up, readying his scarf before throwing towards her and tying her throat. She gagged, surprised, and dropped her book as Mr. Aizawa quickly released.

"Mr. Aizawa?" she says while catching her breath. She looks up and realizes that there was someone else in the room, "ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod," she mumbled in a frenzy. She walked up to the greenette, who was feeling slightly nervous at her reaction. "Hi," she excitedly says while reaching for the hero's hand to shake. They shook for an awkward amount of time as Deku decided to ask for her name,

"Err, hi. What's your name?" he scratches the back of his neck with his free hand while nervously smiling,

"Lara. Lara-May Connors."

"Connors?"

"Well, yes. But just call me Lara."

"Lara, I'm Izuku Midoriya. You can just call me Deku. I don't really mind." Lara quickly and nervously retracts her hand from the handshake before Deku continued, "Lara. It's quite a unique name."

"Ahh, well I'm from the UK, more technically London, but my mum is Scottish. And that's where my name is from. Sorry, I'm definitely talking for too long. Was there something you needed Mr. Aizawa?"

"Yes, but I decided to let you two finish talking because I have time to spare." He said sarcastically before sitting back down in his chair. "So, Lara didn't get any offers from the festival for a work study. But after watching you on the festival she wanted to do her studies with you. And she's here to ask for your help." The black-haired man finished as he brought out a yoghurt pouch from his desk drawer. "Any questions for each other?"

"What's your quirk?" Deku asks enthusiastically. She flinches slightly at the question and her excited smile slowly disappears as she turns her head away from him.
