{Omniscient POV}

Alicia and Strand put the unconscious body in the backseat of their truck as well as the dog. Strand is nervous, he doesn't seem to like the idea of bringing someone new with them, especially when they couldn't have the opportunity to talk to them, who knows this girl intentions?
-Strand if you don't like the idea, know it's the same.
Alicia told him coldly.
-Alicia we know nothing about her! Imagine if this is some kind of trap!? If she's conscious and listening right now?
-Oh and what are you gonna do about it? Leave her on the side of the road?
-Maybe this would be a good idea yes!
Alicia sent him a death glare and take the walkie to bring it closer to her while Victor let a sarcastic laugh out.

Morgan answered shortly and ended the conversation.
-This is what we agreed to do Victor. We help people.
-Yes I know... I just feel it that in a world like that it could bring us trouble.
She didn't talk back until they arrived at the factory. People are opening the doors as they can see Morgan coming closer to the car next to the passenger's seat. The duo exit the car, Strand watching them talk from afar, not wanting to get too much involved in this.
-Are you both alright?
-Yes we are, don't worry.
-Where is she?
-There!
She pointed at the backseat, the young woman still unconscious but the dog seemed scared about these people around him. Alicia carefully open the door since she is the only who made contact with him.
-Hey Faro it's okay, come here!
She said, softening her voice under Morgan's eyes. The dog decided to exit the car but stayed close by his owner.
-Strand we're gonna need your help to carry her inside!
Annoyed but having to choice, he took her in bridal style since he is the tallest man around to carry someone by himself.
-Let's take her to the dorm! Alicia, go find June, we're gonna need her help.
As Morgan said that, everyone did so. Strand carries her when Morgan asked:
-Where did you find her?
-In a gas station nearby.
-What happened?
-I don't know, ask Alicia, she's the one who wanted to stop to car to see.
-I will.
Morgan felt Strand's coldness and didn't ask more. Few minutes later then arrived in the dorm with Faro who was glued to her side. It's a gigantic hall filled with bed that used to be filled with denim before they turned in a giant dorm where everyone could sleep with a roof upon their head.
-Let's put her in a bed next to Alicia's, since she brought her here I want her to look up after her.
Without a word, Strand put her down while Morgan looked for a pillow and covers but Alicia came in sight with June at the same time.
-Okay we'll let you check her out now!
Morgan patted June's shoulder as he walked by to let them with her.

-Alright young lady! Let's see how bad it this.
June said, trying to light up the mood.
-I need to take the layers of clothes off so I can see better, can you grab some covers to keep her warm please?
Alicia went to where they kept covers when June at the same time carefully took the young woman's jacket off, sweater and shoes. As she took the first one off, she could see how injured were her feet. Alicia is back with covers now and looks carefully June doing her nurse's job.

-Her feet are looking bad, it's full of blisters everywhere, she must have walked a lot for a long time to have them but apart from that, she's okay. I think she's going to sleep for a moment, let's let her rest properly.
They both let her there, with different blankets on, her feet patched up and her dog laying by her side, protecting her but Alicia came back alone with time with what she could find to give something to eat and drink to Faro.
-Hey buddy! Look, I found a little something for you to eat, you must be hungry!
With that, she placed a plate with food and a recipient with water in it to which her rushed to.
-It's okay, you're both safe here with us, you can sleep buddy.
She then left again when he finished everything and climbed back to the bed. Alicia found herself cracking a smile, it felt good to see something soft in such a violent world.

{Y/n POV}

My eyelids are heavy. My head hurting. I open my eyes the most slowly way I could. I try to recognise the place but panic starts to grow as I don't. It's big, empty, filled with beds. I raise my chest from the bed, seeing Faro laying next to me.
-Oh my god you're here!
I whispered, hugging my dog as he licked my face and is filled with excitement until he calmed down. I saw myself wrapped in covers, feeling a weird sensation on my feet as I take a look and see them under plasters. I don't remember how I came in her but it definitely wasn't me, coming here to a bed and patch me up nicely but a sudden noice made me look behind me. A young girl seemed trying to be silent but failed when I saw her, a concerned look on her face.
-Hey! I saw you, you know?
But she remained silent, running to I don't know where.
-Wait! No come back!!!
Okay this is such a weird place. I tried to stand up but couldn't, my feet were hurting me too much. When I put myself back in place, I hear footsteps coming closer and honestly I am getting scared. I don't the place, how I ended up here, who these people are. I saw three people from afar, one man and two women. The black man is probably in his late 40's as far as I can see, the blonde woman maybe in her 40's and the other one, a young brunette, around the same age as mine.
-Who are you?
I felt exposed, I have nothing to defend myself with and I can't run away. Amazing position.
-Don't worry, we mean no harm! We want to help people!
The man said, my eyebrows still furrowed but they decided to come closer as the only thing I had around me is Faro. I thought him an amazing trick to defence myself.
-Stay back!!!
And with these magic words, Faro starts to bark and show some teeth, looking intimidating.
-Hey! It's okay! We brought you here, Alicia found you unconscious two days ago! We're only here to bring you our help, you're safe!
I was still unsure but told Faro to calm down.
-Can we come closer to speak a little?
I'm reluctant but told them yes. I tense up as they approached to the bed. The man kneeled down so he could speak closer to my height.
-I'm Morgan Jones.
He introduced with a smile to show me his intentions are good.
- Y/n. Y/n Ward and this is Faro.
-Yes we met before, he stayed by your side the whole time. He's a great partner!
Faro jumped off my bed to go to the youngest woman, she pat his head.
-Hey buddy!
She said softly but hurting me inside. The only person who called him this way was my brother. It hurt to hear someone else call him this way. So I tried to keep the smoothest voice I could give and say:
-Can you not call him like this please?
She looked at me, surprised by my question which sounded more like a statement but she seems to understand it hurt me and agreed with her green eyes. The other woman then speaks up:
-Did you walk a lot these days?
-I hum... Yes, I walked for days until I finally found this gas station but since then I don't remember anything.
-Your feet aren't in their best shape but with rest they will heal, apart from that you're okay, no bite! Oh and I'm June by the way!
I feel a little relief to be honest. I smiled at her briefly.
-So I guess you are Alicia?
She stood a little backwards then June and Morgan.
-Alicia Clark.
She doesn't seem shy, only a little cold but I guess she's a good person since she decided to save me there
-I guess I owe you my life then!
I said, looking at her, a tired smile on my face.
-What happened there?
-I don't know, we were passing by a saw a group of infected trying to get inside this gas station so I thought someone might need help inside. We cleaned the area and I found you on the floor while your dog was barking...
I simply nod.
-Well, thank you then.
-That's what we do, we help people.
-That's a great cause! I'm sorry to change the subject but I won't stay long, maybe a week or a little more until I heal and then I'll leave. I'm not a group type of person...
-You can stay as much as you want and need!
Morgan said.
-Thank you, a lot!
-Okay we're going to let you rest now, you're exhausted alright?
June said kindly and they all let me here again, only Faro stayed with me and payed by my side while I pet him.
-You seemed to like this Alicia! You little flirt!
I joked alone and soon fell asleep again, finally in a real safe place, in a bed and warm.
