What you have told me is quiet a romance

Lenas POV

Sam gushes all throughout the drive home. I never knew that cuddling during a movie would be so ground breaking.

"And Alex even asked before we started cuddling. Do you know how amazing that is?" I smile and shake my head slightly. They really are cute I just wonder when they're going to kiss, "But enough about my Danvers, tell me about yours."

"I don't know what you're talking about." I mumble turning to look out the window.

"I'm not buying that. You never cuddle and you and Kara definitely were. So spill."

"There's nothing to spill."

"Except there is. Just admit that you have a crush."

"Except I don't." I grumble as she pulls up. I quickly move out of the car. "I haven't had actual feelings for someone in years. There's no point. They'll always be someone else's soulmate, never mine. I lost hope years ago so just let it go."

"You do see how you look at Kara right? How you smile at her? I don't even think you realize how much you went out of your way to be around her."

"Except I didn't. She came over by me when I was playing chess, and she was the one that went over to the bathroom when we were watching a movie."

"Yes but you were the one who initiated the touching."

"Just drop it Sam. I don't have feelings for Kara Danvers."

I'm probably being dramatic but I storm off inside. It will be a cold day in hell when Lena Luthor has feelings for someone again. More so if it's some silly blonde reporter.

"Kara Danvers is here again. Send her in?" I hear Jess say bringing me out of a few reporter.

"Oh..." You do see how you look at Kara right? I hear Sams voice echo in my head, "Yes, send her in please."

She comes in timidly holding a vase of flowers, "Hi... um I guess these are partly a thank you and partly a I'm sorry gift." She mumbles gently placing the vase down on my desk.

"Sorry for what exactly?" I lift a single eye brow.

"Well... I pestered you into coming to game night and then Brainy asked... well yeah. So uh I'm sorry."

"You do realize it's not you're fault right? It's not Brainys either."

"I know." She nods gently, "I just want to say sorry. Something tells me you haven't heard that as much as you should in your life."

"You're just full of surprises, aren't you Ms Danvers."

She shrugs with her stupidly cute smile. This would be so much easier if she was my soulmate, "You know me. And um... I don't want to overstep but have you tried working out in the sun occasionally? It's what I do when I'm working on an article for awhile. Keeps my vitamin C up."

"And what makes you think I'm lacking that particular vitamin."

"You're pale is all. Usually meaning you aren't getting enough sun. Not that it looks bad or anything. Plus it could fully just a be the particular shade your hair is washing out your face. Not that that's bad either it's just-"

"Kara." I cut her off gently, "Breath. You're fine."

"Right..." she mumbles adjusting her glasses, "Sorry..."

"You don't have to apologize so much, you know that right?" Kara pauses for a moment, "I'll take that as a no then."

"Well uh... I guess I'll leave you to it. I've already taken up a lot of your time."

"It was nice seeing you again Kara."

"Likewise." She smiles before walking off.

She really is like a puppy. She does lack confidence when she does just about anything. Well except in writing. Her style shows it's nothing but straight facts. It has the confidence that she seems to lack.

"Lena if you don't hurry we're going to be late." I hear Sam call through my bedroom door.

"It's not my fault I got caught up in business reports." I grumble opening it, "Besides, I'm ready now so we can leave."

"Good. I don't want to loose my spit next to Alex."

"I'm sure you wouldn't have to worry as much if you just kissed her."

"I-it's a work in progress!" A hot blush appears on her face.

"I do believe you've been called out." I smirk grabbing my phone.

When we get there (only two minutes late may I add) Sam immediately gies over to Alex. I awkwardly stand by the door for a moment. Why did I agree to come to another game night?

"Lena!" Kara calls across the room waving me over. Right. That's why.

I awkwardly walk over and smile. Kara gently grabs my arm and pulls me into the spot next to her. They decided to forgo games tonight and just watch movies. Kara (definitely not me) had decided to just start cuddling halfway through the first one. Then the second and third. And I honestly didn't mind it too much. By the time the night was over Sam was giving me a look. Like she's about to tease me. And when we get in the car she does.

"C'mon Lena, just admit you like Kara." Sam all but whines.

"I'm sorry Sam but I don't like her."

"But you do! You two acted like more of a couple than me and Alex did!"

"I don't have feelings for her."

"Give me one good reason why you don't."

I pause for a moment thinking. One reason is all I need right? My mind still comes up with a blank, "Okay, fine. I have feelings for the reporter."

"Yes! I knew it!" Sam throws her hands up in celebration, "So when are you gonna ask her out?"

I breath a laugh, "Don't be ridiculous. Why should I ask her out when I know she has a soulmate out there?"

"It's you."

"And you'd know that how exactly?"

"I just have a feeling."

"You can't go through life basing everything off of a single feeling Sam."

"I'm going to with this. So when you finally figure it out for yourself I can say I told you so."

"A little childish don't you think?"

"Lena, I have a whole ass kid. She rubs off on a person."
