This is where the story really begins
Lenas POV
"What's wrong with the name Danvers?" Sam asks slowly.
"Nothing it's just... the reporter that came in with Kent was a Danvers..." I trail off.
     "Oh yeah! How'd that go?"
"It was fine. There wasn't any gushing about my looks as usual but she did seem a little flustered."
"So you have no idea how she perceived you?" Sam asks just to clarify.
"No idea." I confirm with a slight nod, "I'm sure whoever it is, is very lucky. She seemed sweet." The comment was nonchalant. I didn't think much of the words I had spoken until Sam was look at me, jaw dropped, "What?"
"You like her! Lena Luthor actually has a crush!"
"What? No I don't! I just said she's sweet, that doesn't mean anything. You're just being dramatic."
"The only people you call sweet are me, Ruby, and the guy who sells you your kale salad."
"Okay but J'onn is one of the only reasons I'm getting fed so you should call him sweet too!"
"Lena Luthor, do not change the subject."
"Okay! Fine, I find her attractive, happy?"
"Ask her out, then I will." Sam smirks, raising her eyebrows slightly.
"Absolutely not."
"C'mon when was the last time you went on a date?"
"Lets see... I think his name was... James? Jack maybe?"
"It's been so long you can't even remember the poor mans name!"
"Okay, and? What's the point in dating someone when I know the aren't 'the one' or whatever the cliché is."
"Sex." Sam says with an impossibly straight face.
"Gross. You can go now."
"I'm kidding!" The slightly younger woman now breaks into a fit of laughter, "Maybe try finding out how she sees you, then go from there?"
"I suppose it could work..." I chew on my bottom lip thinking for a moment. It's not a bad idea but it also isn't good.
"If she sees the smoking hot woman you are, then you'll know she's the one."
"Or all of my hopes and dreams could be crushed when she sees some redhead or something." I deadpan.
"Um okay wow. Way to be a downer but okay."

Karas POV
Lena Luthor, CEO of L-Corp, certified genius, yet no social media–at least no public account–to be found. Now, i was only looking her up for research. Ya know, to try and get to know the person I'm writing about a little better. This is my first real assignment Snapper has given me. It's a HUGE step up from writing about new dog parks around the city. I could actually do some good with this article. I think Snapper was giving me puff pieces cause he thinks I didn't earn my place. He thinks it was handed to me (a fact he reminds me of daily) which it wasn't. I had worked hard. I clicked out of the tabs containing any social media platform and went back to where I was writing my article. Well supposed to be writing. I still don't have a single word written on the blank screen. I glance at the writing pad I had while in the room, another blank page. My stupid gay brain had forgotten to write anything down. I remember her saying something about wanting to be a force for good. I can base my article around that, I suppose...
As soon as I was about to start writing, a knock sounded at my door, "It's open!"
"Kara, you will not relive what happened." Alex said walking over and sitting on the couch, "This like teenager had bumped into me—which I normally wouldn't think about too much—but her mom was just like, so pretty."
"This is the first girl you've shown interest in since Maggie." I observe giving her a sly smile, "Did you get her number?"
"Technically she got mine..." Sam trailed off, "But that's besides the point."
"At least your don't have to worry about her not wanting kids." I snort earning a shove from Alex.
"Anyway, enough about me, how did your interview at LuthorCorp go?"
"L-Corp." I correct turning back to my blank screen.
     "I'm sorry?"
"Lena Luthor is changing the name to L-Corp."
"Ah." Alex said with a nod, before noticing the blank laptop screen, "I'm assuming it didn't go too well considering how much you have written..."
"It went fine... I think." I shrug, "I stuttered a lit and forgot to write anything down..."
"How did you just 'forget' to write something down? It's literally you're job..."
"Can I blame it on being gay?"
     "Are you serious..."
"She was really pretty okay!" I start trying to defend myself, "And she has heterochromia, do you Janie how attractive that is?!"
"You met the girl once and you already have a raging crush on the women." Alex said slightly shaking their head, "Such a pansexual."
"Shut up." I grumble.

The next morning I had a freshly written article all about the name change for LuthorCorp (even if I had to borrow some of Clark's notes) ready to be given to Snapper. I placed the papers on his desk and hurried away. That man scared the crap out of me. I get situated at my desk as I start looking through a few emails. Nothing exciting. Just some spam. I glance over at snapper and see him editing my article (I swear he always edits mine first). A few minutes later he's waking over to me and placing the papers on my desk.
"I've marked everything you need to fix in red." He grumbled before walking away.
Turning through the pages briefly, I could see how many errors he's wanting me to fix. More then half being spelling. It's absurd really. Never the less, I pull up the article and I start fixing. It's silly really. I'm putting si much time in an article that won't even be in the front page. Never the less I put everything I have into the story. I have to take my ch ace while I still can right?"
