2|ABANDONED CLASSROOM
year 6
Her eyes squinted as she re-read the same line of her textbook, a pale finger reaching up to push her glasses further up her nose. She groaned in annoyance at the noise, looking up to find her favourite four boys planning their next prank.
"Who's the lucky victim this time?" Willow chuckled as she joined in on their planning, joining their circle in the middle of the dorm room. She sat cross legged between Moony and Padfoot, laughing along with their playful behaviour.
"The pureblood supremes." Remus shrugged, shuffling closer to her as she leaned her head on his shoulder. "I suggested a stink bomb."
"Ooo, I like that idea." She nudged Sirius with her hand, hoping he would agree with them. "You should prank Snape and Malfoy."
"Sneverus deserves more than smelling bad." James complained as he leaned back on his hands. "The fool should learn that Lily is mine now."
"Sadly I need to finish this essay for Slughorn, so I can't help." Willow sighed, glancing at her discarded textbooks with distaste.
"But Queenie, we need your help." Sirius flashed her his puppy eyes, begging her to stay. "We need your beautiful smile and volumptuous breasts to distract them."
"Padfoot." James warned the boy, narrowing his eyes as his friend guestured to his sister's chest.
"Yeah, I'm off to the library." Willow winked at Sirius before scrambling to her feet. "I'll see you boys at breakfast."
"Stay safe." Her brother smiled at her as she left, worried about her deciding to wander the halls after dinner.
"I always am."
She sat in her usual spot in the library, head buried so deep in her potions textbook to notice the sun had gone down hours ago. Willow placed her glasses down, relaxing her eyes as she took a break. It was only then that she realised she was the only one in the library, her candle being the only source of light.
Her eyes scanned around the halls for any prefects before racing down the silent corridors. She spun around a corner, a scream getting caught in her throat as her gaze landed on a hunched over figure on the ground.
"Excuse me." She whispered, not wanting to draw any attention to her from nearby prefects. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." The voice groaned as a familiar set of dark brown eyes met hers. "I don't need your help, Potter."
"And I would rather offer it to anyone else, Snape." Willow huffed, narrowing her eyes before noticing the dark liquid staining his white shirt. "Shit, is that blood?"
"I don't need your help." Severus repeated, groaning in pain as he slowly stood up, gripping his chest.
"Shit." She cursed, seeing the light of a wand coming their way. Willow grabbed his hand and gently pulled him into an empty classroom.
His breath tickled her cheek as she pressed him against the door, waiting for the prefect to pass. Her hand brushed against his chest, his body wincing at her touch as the blood pooled over her fingers.
"Lumos." Light formed between them, illuminating his face. Willow jumped as she met his cold brown eyes before glancing down at her hand on his chest. "Oh shit, sit down."
"What?" His eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at her quizzically. She gave him a stern look, gesturing to a desk as she placed a basic locking spell on the door, scared someone might catch them alone in a dark classroom and get the wrong idea.
Severus reluctantly sat down at the desk, sighing as she gestured for him to remove his shirt. Her eyes widened as she allowed them to trail down his chest, surprised at his physique.
Willow snapped back into action, pulling her small first aid kit out of her bag as she stepped closer to him. She swallowed back all prejudice feelings she had against him and silently patch up his wound, curious as to how he received it.
His eyes watched her every move, hesitant as her hands touched his wound. He was wary of her sudden kindness, especially after the torment her brother gave him daily. His pale hands gripped his trousers, knuckles turning white as he avoided her stare.
No further words were passed between them as he walked her to her dorm, helping her avoid any teachers or prefects stalking the halls. Willow smiled awkwardly at him before mumbling the answer to the Ravenclaw dorm riddle and entering the dark room. The door closed behind her, sealing off any further glances and stares that were shared between the pair.
"That was so strange." She mumbled to herself before entering her room, her body collapsing on her bed as his dark eyes haunted her dreams.
