The sun streamed through the crack in the curtains, the light waking her from her deep slumber. She rolled over, the blanket twisted around her legs as she stretched her arms above her head.

Willow wandered into the joint bathroom, splashing cold water on her face to wake herself fully. She followed the smell of food, her stomach grumbling in reply.

"Whatever you're making smells amazing." She complimented as she walked into the kitchen, smiling at the messy haired boy.

"Pancakes." Severus grinned to himself as he pushed his hair off his face, greeting her with a smile.

"I was thinking we could go for a walk along the beach today." She suggested, sliding onto the stool at the breakfast bar.

"Sounds good." He plated the pancakes and pushed them in front of her before passing her syrup. The pair ate their breakfast quietly, sharing small comments about the meal.

Willow cuddled her jumper closer to her chest as she chuckled at one of his comments. She held her shoes in her hand, enjoying the hot sand between her toes.

"Careful." Severus caught her arm easily, steadying her as she stumbled. "You don't want to hurt that beautiful face."

"You think my face is beautiful?" She teased his flirtatious comment. Her hand slipped into his, holding it tightly as they continued to walk across the beach, enjoying the heat beating on their faces.

"It's getting hot." He stated casually, looking down at her grinning form. "Want to go into the water?"

"Race you." She laughed, letting go of his hand and straight into the water. The water soaked her white shirt, sticking flushed against her skin and outlining her red bikini top. "You're so slow."

"Maybe I'm just enjoying the sight." He raised a brow at her, dumping his shoes on the sand next to hers and stripping off his shirt.

Severus ran into the water towards her, his jeans becoming heavy as he stepped deeper into the sea. His hands slipped under her shirt, palms hot against her skin as he held her waist.

Her hands fell against his chest, finger tips gently running down his wet skin as their eyes met. His face moved closer, lips brushing against her ear.

"You lose." He lifted her up, gently dumping her into the water till she was soaked.

"You arse." She laughed, scrambling to her feet as she flicked her wet hair off her skin and up into a lose bun.

Willow chased him through the water, launching her body at his. He quickly caught her as she fell, knocking his balance off.

The pair fell into the sea, Willow landing between his legs with both hands beside his hips. Their lips almost touching as he lifted his hand up to her cheek, pushing the wet brown strands off her skin. His other hand moved up her thigh, skimming over her shorts and under her shirt.

His fingers touched the string of her bikini top, pulling her closer until her breath was tickling his lips. Her voice got caught in her throat, eyes fluttering closed.

A squeal escaped her lips as she shot back, cursing the piece of seaweed that had floated over her hand. A blush dusted her cheeks as she met his amused stare, realising how close their lips were to touching.

"It's getting dark." She mumbled, slowly standing up as she squeezed the water from her shirt. "We should head back if we want to start a bonfire."

"Good idea." Severus took her hand as he stood up, following her back to the sandy shore to collect their things. They walked back quietly, hands brushing against each other as they shared a cigarette.

Willow sat back against the sand, watching Severus light a bonfire as the sun began to set over the horizon. She pressed the glass bottle against her lips, shuddering as the liquor warmed her body. Her laughter filled the air as he cheered to himself, the fire lighting up the beach and drying their damp clothes.

"You better be sharing that." He took the bottle from her hand, taking a large mouthful before passing her back the bottle.

"I should warn that allow I have a high tolerance, I am weak when it comes to vodka." She smirked, leaning her head on his shoulder as he sat beside her. She placed a marshmallow on a stick, heating it over the lit bonfire. A small moan filled the silence as she devoured the gooey sweet, trying to remember the last time she ate one.
