"You...had a kid?"

Bf/n nodded while smiling down at Emily. Bf/n has always said she didnt want kids because they feared they would be a bad parent. So then why do they have a daughter all of the sudden?

"Was she planned or..?"

"...No she wasnt. But that doesnt mean i love her any less. My dad wasnt even supposed to be physically able to have kids yet here i am. If anything i think this is a good thing. Do you want to hold her?"

You hesitantly nodded. Since you were the youngest in the family, you didnt really have any experence with kids. Part of you couldnt even wrap your head around what you were looking at.

Bf/n carefully handed her to you and she woke up from her nap. She opened her eyes and they were a stunning dark blue. Emily just stared at you for a while before grabbing a hold of your shirt and pulling it a little.

"Hi Emily. Im y/n. I will be taking care of you as best I can when either one of your parents cant. You aren't in the best hands but I promise you you're still in good ones."

She kept staring at you. Since she was a literal infant you couldn't tell what type of look was on her face. She was cute none the less. You never really thought you would hold a baby that belonged to bf/n though. Eventually you glanced over to Daniel to see him standing there watching you with Emily. He still kept his distance so he didnt intrude or anything.

"Do you want to hold her Dan?"

"Oh uhh no thank you I'm okay. I'll let you have your moment meeting her. Plus being on a plane has messed with me a little bit and I don't want to do something wrong or drop her."

You nodded and gently put her back in her crib before walking out of the room with bf/n and Daniel. It was definitely a good surprise to come how to. You just didn't know how to approach said surprise since this is unexpected for you and for bf/n even. Of course that didn't mean you weren't happy for them.

You and Dan both made your way to the guest bedroom again and get some of your things out of the suit cases that you needed today. Most of the other stuff could wait till tomorrow, even though it was only mid day. It felt much later thanks to a little bit of jet lag but timezones are also weird.

"Are either of you hungry?"

Dans head perked up quicky at the thought of food and just nodded.

"Yes. That flight felt like it took ages. Should we go out and eat lunch?"

Everyone agreed so bf/n and Alex got ready to go while you and Dan made your way to the baby's room. You walked in to see her awake moving around a little in the crib. When you turned the light on and walked over to her she just stared at you again like last time.

"Hi Emily. I dont know if youve ever been in a resturaunt or not but were about to go to one. So when youre parents are done getting ready, we will go."

You glanced over to Faniel to see him watching you again. You picked Emily up and walked over to Dan with her in your arms.

"This is Daniel. Hes my boyfriend. Hopefully when youre able to actually tell if you like someone you will like him. He can teach you how to play video games."

Emily reached her tiny hand out towards Dan and he gave her a finger to hold. She wrapped her hand around it and giggled a little. Thats when you noticed bf/n and Alex standing in the door way watching. Dan didnt notice yet.

"Well its safe to say she likes me at least a little bit or else she wouldnt hold my finger. We should probably get going in a minute though."

He tried taking his finger back but Emily was set on not letting go. You handed her to him and he looked a little nervous. Thats when bf/n walked in to get her some clothes that looked decent enough for a resturaunt.
