Getting to know Alisha

Buddy was so energetic for some reason. We were playing like nonstop. I didn't even hear when Demi came back in.
"ALISHA! BUDDY!"
"OUT HERE!!" I scream while playing tug-o-war with Buddy. She comes out and laughs. He's obviously winning.
"I think it's kind of bad that a small dog is winning tug-of-war against you!"
I glare at her and say
"Haha very funny. He's strong for his little stature."
She looks at me and just laughs. I let go of the toy and surrender. By surrender I mean I fall to the ground and let Buddy jump on me and lick my face. After a while Demi breaks sound of of my laughter
"Im starting to get hungry. How about we go out and get some dinner?"
Without looking at her i just state
"Im not that hungry. I had a snack not too long ago."
Demi looks at me weirdly. She just shrugs and goes back inside. I go in and find her in the kitchen getting a glass of water. When I come in she looks up.
"So I stalked your social media, but that doesn't tell me a whole lot. I wanna know more."
"Ok. Fair enough. You are giving me shelter. Ask anything"
She gets a smirk on her face.
I quickly add "appropriate questions only and I have the chance of passing."
The smirk goes away and she says "your no fun, oh well. So first. Why'd you run away?"
I tense up.
"Uhm well. I don't have a good family. I live with my parents and they are kind of abusive. Even when they're sober they beat me."
Demi is looking at me like I'm a lost puppy.
"Do you have any siblings?"
I look sad.
"Yes. Two older siblings. They're twins. They moved out and left me behind. They ran away and left me behind saying that mama and papa would realize if we all ran away. They wouldn't notice if one of us stayed. And that since they were 18 they wouldn't have to come back if they were found. I would so it wouldn't make sense for me. They left me there to be our parents personal punching bag."
Now demi must really think im a lost puppy.
"Omg. That's terrible Alisha. How long ago did they leave?"
"I was 13 at the time so a little less than 3 years ago."
"What was your parents lifestyle like?"
"Rich. We had LOTS of money. I've had a credit card since I was 12."
"Ok next question. How long have you self harmed? I saw your cuts when we first met and when you were playing with Buddy."
"Ever since I was 12."
"Oh. Ok. How about we go to more happier questions? Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Hahahahaha no one would ever date me. I always got rejected."
"Ok. Do you have a best friend?"
"Yeah. Her name is Brittany. She's really nice and pretty. She has the perfect life. I have no idea how we became friends..."
