Doctors

It was like I was hungover from a wild Friday night. My head was pounding and any light was too bright. It took me a while to realize I was hooked on to machines. I looked for the doctor button, it took a while, but I found it and soon my doctor came.
"What happened to me?" I am very confused in what's going on.
"You fainted. You've been out cold for about a day. You just weren't ready to be off the machines. You should be fine if you stay on the machines a little while longer." He gave me a sympathetic look. "Are you ok for me to let in some visitors? Demi is very worried about you."
I don't know what to say. I want to see her, but I don't want her to see me like this.
"Uhm sure, but who exactly is going to be let in?"
"That's up to you to decide you need to make a list of everyone you want to be let in. If they aren't on the list we'll ask first before letting them in." He hands me a clipboard with lines on it. I put my name on top, then I start listing.

I hesitate to put down Demi's name. I know she's going to freak as soon as she sees me, good or bad I don't know. It takes me a while to finally put her name down. The list is so short from me not having any friends. It hurt me so badly when they all abandoned me because I was going downhill. I give him back the clipboard and he walks out. I can hear them coming down the hall. I brave myself for a bad freak out.
