"We may not be close, but you are still my son. Not only have you been using the money I gave you to buy drugs, all of Toman is looking for you.""So now you're worrying about me?" He scoffed, "well, sorry mom, but you're a decade late."
Such words made her chuckle, bringing a hand to her mouth to cover the condescending smile on her face out of habitual politeness.
"Do you really think I'm worried? There's no way I can allow people to know that my child is an addict. Whether you like it or not, you're going to stay in this house I've prepared for you and spend the rest of your days quietly until this is all over. Don't embarrass me any more than you already have."
If [Name]'s eyes were like an abyss, then his mother's eyes were like the hypnotizing spirals of a lunatic who did anything and everything to get to where she is today.
"Do you really think I'll do what you want? I'd rather slit my wrists and let crows eat me alive than oblige to your will." He spat out and if it wasn't for the seatbelt holding him in place, he would've grabbed her by the collar and punched her.
Soon, the car came to a stop in front of a large light blue villa.
"If you do anything to harm yourself, I'll lock you up all alone until you're begging me to let you out."
His mother was never one to exaggerate or joke, even when he was a child he had no memories of her even smiling. That's why [Name] knew she was not lying.
And the memories of being alone in a white room, being unable to even tell how long has passed or what time it is, crept up and sat on his shoulder.
The door unlocked itself for a moment to let a group of men open it and grab [Name], dragging him inside of the house. Once he was finally out of sight, his mother let out a very long and drawn out sigh.
"Well, didn't that go perfectly..."
Her assistant laughed at her rather uncharacteristic use of sarcasm as he poured red wine into her empty glass from the cooler inside the limo.
