[Name] hasn't left his house in ages.

He didn't respond to Takemichi's texts, he didn't come to school, hell- he didn't even barge out the door and start yelling profanities whenever Baji threw a rock at his window.

No one has been the same since Pah-Chin was incarcerated, but perhaps [Name] was taking it the worst.

Baji Keisuke, [Name]'s self proclaimed best friend, liked to say he knew his friend relatively well. For example, when he got jumped by a group of gang members, [Name] was the one who found him passed out. When Baji woke up, he was force fed rice pudding filled with [Name]'s tears of worry.

When he confronted him about it, their conversation went like this:

"My, uh, pudding is really salty and wet? Why is it-?"
"Sniff- Shut the fuck up, you dumbass. I'll- sniff- kill you and the sniff- people who beat you up."

Unexpectedly, the stone hearted and rude piece of shit called [Name] had a soft spot for his friends, and he refused to let them get hurt. That's why it hurt so much being unable to help Pah-Chin.

Or so he thought that was the reason why [Name] wasn't getting out of the house. But the truth was always more painful.

Baji stood in front of [Name]'s main door, holding a heavy pot full of porridge that his mom made him bring after hearing that he wasn't feeling well. Sometimes Baji wondered if she liked [Name] more than her own son, but that was a thought for a different time.

He rung the doorbell once, no answer, and then twice, also with no answer. So, like the concerned friend he was, he broke into the house and made his way to [Name]'s room, but not before putting the porridge on his kitchen counter. He found it a bit odd that [Name]'s door was open when it was usually locked shut, but he didn't think much further and slammed it open with a huge grin.

"Hey-!"

Baji was glad that he already put the pot down, or he would've dropped it all over the expensive flooring.
