"You're WHAT?!" Briarr exclaimed, completely shocked at what her best friend had just admitted.

The brunet turned to her, pulling tensely at his hair. "I didn't tell you because you'd freak out!" Nick explained, speaking fast.

Briarr only scoffs, then she nods furiously "Nick... YOU'RE MOVING ACROSS THE COUNTRY!" She yells, lightly flicking his forehead earning a small 'ouch' from the boy.

Nick opens his mouth to argue back, but instead decides to go back to his last minute packing, as he didn't have much time until he had to leave. This only aggravated Briarr more.

She sighs and slumps down onto her friend's creaking bed, "Look, Nick, I'm sorry but you decided to tell me you're moving the DAY that you're moving!" She says softly "I have every right to be annoyed! We could've... I don't know, hung out more on our last few days together,".

Nick clenches tightly onto a t-shirt he was about to pack and bites the inside of his cheek, "I know and I'm sorry too," He mumbles, turning back to face her again. The two share knowing, sorrowful looks. That was, until Nick's face suddenly brightened up and he looked as though a million clogs with ticking in his brain.

"Unless..." He starts, immediately getting a positive reaction out of the girl.

Her face gleams and her knee bounces in anticipation "Okay, I like where this is going," She says, urging him to carry on.

Nick slightly chuckles "You like roadtrips don't you, Bri?".

Briarr slowly begins to grin from ear to ear "ROADTRIP!".

The next two hours Briarr and Nick spent packing his stuff and hanging out with his family. Nick got emotional but he didn't want to admit it. After the last, upsetting goodbye Nick drove to a few friend's houses to say a final goodbye to them too.

Final stop before leaving was Briarr's home, Nick wanted to say goodbye to her family, as they were basically his other family and Briarr also needed to pack a small bag for a few days until she could return to Texas.

Sun had set and Briarr waved to her mother stood at the door, as she got into Nick's car. The car's headlights turned on and the two exchanged looks, before the engine rumbled and they set off on their journey.

Briarr chuckles slight as she looks out of the window and Nick looks over at her for a second with a questioning face. "What?" He asks.

She looks forwards "We're fucking idiots," she giggles again. "Dude! I have college why the fuck am I coming with you, also how am I getting back to texas?"

Nick slightly grimaced "Shit, I-" He chuckles nervously "I didn't think that far... I'll get you a flight back?"

She rolls her eyes playfully "Dude you better, or else!"

He scoffs, they continue to go back and fourth, eventually just having regular conversations until Briarr eventually fell asleep, leaving Nick to his own thoughts.

He turned on the radio and kept it at a low volume, then hummed along to the song that was playing.

1- JUST MAKING THIS CLEAR NOW, the time stamps in this story wont be completely accurate (e.g. Sapnap rn is moving to florida in 2020, however irl he moved 2021) just so u get my gist.
