"YOU FUCKING WHAT!?"

"I was bored," Nick shrugs, turning the wheel around slightly.

"You better turn this car around, back to the airport and buy me a flight back to Texas, right now!" Briarr snapped.

"Bri, come on," Nick chuckles.

"No! I swear to god Nick you've fucked me over!" She cried "I have so much coursework for school and-".

"-Chill out," he interrupts, comforting her "I get it, maybe this was a bad idea of me but-".

"No! Nick! You have no idea!" She scolds.

Nick chews on his bottom lip nervously "Sorry," he says quietly "Honestly."

Briarr sinks into her seat and rubs at her forehead with stress, looking out of the window at the palm trees that went by.

The two of them barely looked at each other at all during their angry and also awkward silence. Nick sighs and his mouth opens to speak, then closes, then opens again.

"That was selfish of me," he admits.

Briarr scowls at the reflection of Nick in the window and scoffs, not looking at him "Trust me, I know."

Nick rolls his eyes in frustration "You know what? Fuck you, you're so stubborn!" He lectured "Just stop with the bullshit, I can't be arsed with it!"

Briarr slaps at the side of her seat as she turns to him, even more frustrated "Excuse me? Nick you told me I needed to come to Florida immediately!"

"I know! I said it was a bad idea, I get it!" He yells back.

"Do you know how fucking worried I was? Fucking hell, Nick, I thought the worst had happened!" She cries at him.

Nick clenches his jaw "Bri-" He starts "Just shut the fuck up..."

"You're a dick," she scoffs.

He sighs, giving her no reply. The car comes to a stop behind all of the traffic.

"Fine," she starts "You wanna give me silent treatment? So be it."

A click from Briarr's side of the car is heard and the door opens with it.

"What the fuck are you doing! Are you fucking crazy?" Nick yells from the car.

Briarr bends down, looking into the car at Nick, one hand on the top of the door "Yeah, you know what? Maybe I am," she says finally, before slamming the door.

Nick honks his horn at her as she tramples through the crowd of cars onto the sidewalk, ignoring him.

A store was not too far in front of where Briarr was heading, so she made her way straight there, already realising she's made a big mistake.

She knew she was being dumb, walking out into the middle of nowhere in a state she was completely unfamiliar with. But, alas she was too stubborn of course to turn back now and get back in Nick's car.

So, like any stubborn person would, she decided to hide out. In a store. Which was about to close. With no signal.

All while Nick panicked, unable to stop on the busy highway. He couldn't think of what to do as there was no way to park and the only place he could park was too far away to walk to Briarr and back.

Nick eventually decided to drive back home and then drive back with Clay so that one person could drive and the other could find Briarr.

"What the fuck," Clay says deadpan "Did you both leave all of your braincells in Texas? Jesus fucking Christ."
