It had been exactly one week since Briarr arrived back in Texas and moved into her new apartment.

Life seemed to be back on track for her now.

She's up to date with all of her school work, all of her stuff has been moved from her parent's house, her and Clay were getting to know each other better every day and her and Nick were on talking terms and getting along with one another again - sort of.

However, she has been dodging calls every single day from Oliver.

He always calls at 3:30pm on the dot, and right now it was 3:29pm.

Briarr was counting down the seconds, staring intently at her phone screen, while laying on her bed.

"3... 2... 1..." She counts.

She closes her eyes tightly, ready for the vibration and ringing of her phone to start non stop for the next few minutes.

But no call came.

She waited a few more seconds before peeking one eye open. Then the other.

Briarr stares at her phone, confused.

Then, it turned 3:31pm. She felt her heart sink into her chest. His calls had stopped.

She sighs and turns off her phone, pocketing it in the pocket of her sweatpants, making her way out of the room into the modern looking living area.

Immediately she heads over to the fridge, opening and blankly staring at the contents. Briarr purses her lips and then slams the fridge door shut, not finding anything she craved.

She groans and catches Leyna's attention, who was sprawled over the sofa like always.

"Whats up with you?" Leyna laughs, sitting to peer at her starving roommate.

"There's no food," Briarr complains, flopping onto the sofa beside her.

Leyna rolls her eyes "I went shopping yesterday."

Briarr groans again "Yeah and you just bought all of your vegan shit."

Leyna whacks her with the back of her hand "Hey, that shit is good if you tried it!" She lectures "And it's good for the environment."

Briarr raises her brows "If you're so bothered about the environment you'd get rid of that fucking car," she laughs.

"I'm gonna get a new car soon! Okay?" Leyna replies, laying back down on the sofa.

"Oh yeah? You've been saying that for three years," Briarr teases.

"Buy me a car then if you're so bothered," Leyna says smugly.

Briarr scoffs, "As if."

Then, interrupting whatever conversation the two girls were having, Briarr's phone rings.

She looks at the caller ID and immediately blushes.

Leyna smirks "Who is it? The stalker or the sugar daddy?"

Briarr rolls her eyes at her, standing up "Neither, it's Clay."

Leyna blinks at her "So... The sugar daddy then."

"He's not a sugar daddy!" Briarr hisses, stomping her foot like a child.

"He bought you a plane ticket," Leyna shrugs.

"Yeah because he wanted to get rid of me," Briarr replies instantly.

"He didn't want to get rid of you when you were in his bed-"
