"There, my bag is ready to go," Briarr says, setting it down by the wall, the two boys sat at the counter."Bri, your flight isn't for hours," Nick groans, putting his bagel down on his plate.
She rolls her eyes playfully, "I know, idiot, but it's
better to be sorted and shit sooner than later."Nick wipes away the crumbs from his hands, looking at her "Wanna go for a drive?" He asks, then turning to Clay "You too?"
"Sure," They both simultaneously said, making Nick grin.
They clean up the kitchen a little bit and then head out, grabbing the car keys.
Briarr takes shotgun, Nick drives and Clay sits in the back as they drive around Orlando blasting music.
Eventually they got McDonalds at the drive thru and they had casual conversations, with the occasional bicker between Briarr and Clay.
Once they arrived home they had an hour and a half until Briarr's flight, meaning they really had to set off to the airport.
Briarr quickly headed into the house grabbing her bag that she left at the side, then running back to door. Until she heard a small 'meow'.
She stops in her tracks turning to Patches staring at her with wide eyes. Briarr can't help but scoop her up and pet her, quickly.
"Bye, pretty cat," She coos, putting her back down and heading out of the door.
When she gets back to the car she saw Clay took the passenger seat, whilst she was gone.
Briarr hops into the back seat, stropping. "Asshole, you took my fucking seat!"
Clay turns to her with a smirk placing his hand on the back of the seat "I don't see your name on it?"
"Funny." She says, deadpan. He grins again turning back to face forward. "So rude," she mumbles.
"You're rude," He answers back.
"WELL YOU'RE-" She begins before being cutoff.
Nick interrupts "Guys! Come on, do you ever stop fighting?" He scolds.
Briarr and Clay slump into their seats, like children after being told off, now setting off to the airport.
Then at long last, Briarr was dragging her one bag out of the car and the other two stepped out of the car to wave her off.
When Briarr turns to Nick she starts to get emotional, realising she had to go back home permanently without her childhood bestfriend, a tear slowly shed from her eye.
Nick smiled solemnly, before pulling his hands out of pocket and tugging the girl into a heartfelt hug.
"I'll miss you," He admits.
She smiles, "I'll miss you loads,".
The two separate from their hug, awkwardly laughing off the sadness the two secretly shared.
Briarr's gaze diverted towards the taller boy and she gave a weak smile, getting the same from him in return.
"Well," Briarr starts grabbing onto her bag "I have to go.."
