After a month of living with Kusanali, Hana and Naomichi had adapted to it and felt like it was completely normal to live with an Archon, after all, it didn't really make a difference other than making the house livelier than ever! Even though Lady Kusanali seemed cold and serious from outside, once you really got to know her you would see that she was actually really kind and dependent. Kusanali spent most of her time around Hana, following her around to her flower stand, over to the church, and back to her house. She would even go to Diluc's tavern and listen to Hana and Venti play the lyre there. She would write notes about how people in Mondstadt live and about their culture constantly, and ask Hana questions all the time. Hana went through a hard time at first, but ended up really liking the company. Kusanali would always go to the kitchen as soon as Hana began cooking and just watched her, until one day Hana decided to teach her how to cook. She would show her step by step how to make all kinds of dishes, and Kusanali would write down the process word by word, and paid as much attention as she could to make sure she understood Hana's directions. "Today we are going to make "Dinner of Judgement", it is a dish that was created by my teacher Rosaria, you know her!" said Hana excitedly. "Sounds good Hana! Judging by its creator, this dish must have a strong taste." said Kusanali. "Don't worry Kusanali! I'm sure you'll like it! Now let get to the ingredients, we're going to need some fowl, some sweet flowers, a green chili, green peas, and a lemon to add flavor! I'll have to leave mondstadt to get some ingredients, wait for me here will you?" asked Hana. "Actually Hana, do you mind if I go with you this time?" asked Kusanali in a soft voice. "Oh you want to come? Are you sure? It could be dangerous. But I'm okay with that if you don't want to feel lonely here in the house." replied Hana teasingly. "I-it's not that I feel lonely! I just want to spend some time with you... I MEAN! WRITE SOME NOTES ABOUT THE OUTSIDES OF MONDSTADT CITY! That's all! Yeah!" said Kusanali while blushing. "Ah I see, it is my intention to apologize oh dear Archon."said Hana jokingly while bowing to Kusanali. "That's better! Now quick! Let's go get the ingredients so that we can come back and eat! I mean, cook!" replied Kusanali.
Hana chuckled a little bit while she opened the door for Kusanali and they walked outside. They walked all the way to the bridge that connected Mondstadt City to land, when Hana told Kusanali: "You know, this bridge used to be filled with pigeons, but the person who used to feed them became stopped coming all of a sudden. Now you can only see one or two pigeons here every once in a while." "Oh really? It would've made our lives easier if we could just get the fowl from right here! Such a shame." said Kusanali. "Definitely would've! But we would have been in big trouble if the person who fed them found out hahah!" replied Hana. They both laughed and crossed the bridge, heading towards Springvale to buy some fowl from Draff. "Hey Draff! How are you doing?" Shouted Hana from a distance. "Hana!!! Haven't seen you in a while! I'm doing pretty good! What about you Hana?" he replied. "I'm doing pretty well! How's Diona's tavern going?" she asked. "As far as I know, it's going good! But enough about that, what do you need?" said Draff. "I just came looking to buy some fowl to cook! You got some?" she asked. "Yes of course!" said Draff as he walked into his house. "Here you go, now go home and cook!" he said. "Wait! I still have to pay Draff!" she said worried. "No need kid! I got plenty, and you got visits! So just take the fowl will ya?" he said. "Please Draff! Take the money! Or at least ask me for something!" she insisted. "Ughhh fine, there is a group of hilichurls nearby that have been a problem when we go hunt, they scare every bird and boar, could you take care of 'em?" he said unwillingly. "Sure! Give me some minutes and I'll be back!" she replied. Hana and Kusanali headed to the place Draff marked on their map to defeat the Hilichurls. "I'll take care of this Kusanali!" said Hana, preparing herself to fight. She took out her Jade spear and ambushed the Hilichurls. Hana felt as, once again, the power of the Dendro Archon came to her, and she activated her skill, capturing the Hilichurls with her vines, in a few seconds she hit them all a few times, and finally activated her Cryo vision to make the vines explode and throw shards of frozen spikes into the air, hitting the Hilichurls and vanishing them. "Hey! That felt so good, I felt so powerful!" she said, turning her head around. There was Kusanali writing notes about the confrontation and Hana's power, but by the corner of her eye, she saw an arrow imbued in fire flying towards Kusanali. Hana acted by pure instinct and made some cryo pillars under her feet to jump in front of the arrow, activating her Cryo skill and making an ice wall in front of her. The arrow was too strong though, and ran through the thick ice, which even though was able to slow down the speed and turn off the fire, wasn't able to stop the arrow completely, which hit Hana in the chest. Kusanali couldn't believe her eyes. Hana was lying on the floor, struggling to breath. Out of some bushes came out the brown haired girl that had saved Hana such a long time ago. "Oh no!!!!!" she said, with a face of terror on her. "W-WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" Shouted Amber. Kusanali thought quickly, and ran out of the place quickly. Amber stayed in the ground with Hana looking for any medicinal food she could have in her bag. "The shot was straight on the chest, it punctured her lung, medicinal food can't help her" said Kusanali behind her. Amber turned around with a face full of fear and tears. "Let me handle this." she said. Kusanali washed her hands with some water she had stored in a small glass bottle, and proceeded to take the arrow out of Hana's chest. "Please step back girl, I'm going to heal her, but it won't be as efficient if there are more people in the healing radius." said Kusanali to the crying girl. Amber stepped back about ten feet, and Kusanali used her burst, making a huge green aura that started to heal Hana. The hole in her chest started to close, but right as she was about to heal completely, Kusanali's burst ran out, and Kusanali herself passed out due to her low energy. Hana sat up, and saw the arrow on the ground, a puddle of blood under herself, an arrow full of blood, and Kusanali on the floor with blood on her hands. At that moment, Hana remembered what had happened, and looked up to see Amber still crying. Amber ran towards Hana and hugged her "I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO DIE, AND I WOULD'VE BEEN THE ONE WHO KILLED YOU! I'M SO SORRY! I THOUGHT YOUR FRIEND WAS A DENDRO SAMACHURL THAT WAS ABOUT TO ATTACK YOU AND FIRED I'M SO SO SORRY! WAHHHH!" she cried. Hana was surprised, but knew it had been an accident and patted Amber's head, not saying a single word. Hana used her dendro burst to heal Kusanali while she still hugged amber. They laid there for about 10 minutes until Draff and some men found them after being informed by Kusanali that Hana had been hurt. There they found Hana comforting Amber, and Kusanali just waking up thanks to Hana's healing.
"Hana! What happened? Are you ok?!" said Draff as he ran towards Hana. "There was an accident, but everything is okay now, don't worry..." said Hana. Hana stood up and carried Amber in her arms. "We'll just go home, thanks for the fowl Draff..." Hana kept walking towards Mondstadt, and Kusanali followed her. Some minutes passed and Amber fell asleep in Hana's arms, Kusanali noticed and felt like now was the time to speak. "Uhmm... Hana... Are you okay?" she asked. "Of course, I couldn't be doing better, Kusanali..." she replied, without looking back at Kusanali. "Please Hana! Talk to me! You can't lie to me!" she told Hana. "Hana turned around, tears running down her face. "WHAT DID YOU EXPECT? I ALMOST DIED! HOW COULD I BE OKAY?" she shouted at Kusanali. Kusanali looked down and didn't say a word. "I-... I'm sorry Kusanali, I shouldn't have shouted at you like that. Especially after you healed me..." she said, calming down. "Don't worry about it, it's been a long day, let's just go home." replied Kusanali. They kept walking and reached the entrance to the city. "Hana? Is that you?" asked one of the guards who stood in the entrance. He saw how bloody Hana's clothes were and the way she was carrying Amber. "Did something happen to Amber?! Let us call the church and have them bring down a healer!" He said worried. "No need, if she needed healing I would have healed her myself, she's just sleeping." she told the guard. "Then why are your clothes all covered in blood? What happened?" asked the guard. "It's nothing, we had an accident but it's all okay now." she said, evading the question. They kept walking and finally reached Hana's house, Hana walked in with Amber still in her arms and put her down in her bed. "Can we talk, Hana? said Kusanali as Hana was laying Amber down and put a blanket on top of her. Hana nodded and they walked towards the kitchen. "Let me see." she said. "S-see what?" responded Hana. "Your chest, I know you've been trying to hide it." said Kusanali in a serious tone of voice. Kusanali proceeded to show Hana her own chest, which had a scar right in the middle. "Y-you have it too?" Said Hana, showing Kusanali a scar that looked the exact same, the scar made by Amber's arrow. "I'm sorry Hana, I cannot heal scars, I can only heal wounds done in the moment. Ever since I saved you, I started to get these cuts in my hands, I didn't know what they were from. I was ashamed of them. But now I see these scars are all proof of your hard work! I couldn't be more proud to share them!" said Kusanali, taking off the gloves she always wore, and looking down in an attempt to not let Hana notice she was about to cry. Hana saw how water started coming out of Kusanali's eyes, and reached towards her, holding her chin up to look directly at her. "Please don't cry! If only I had been strong and fast enough to stop the arrow, neither of us would have that scar. I couldn't be more thankful to you for letting me live yet another day!" said Hana, also crying. Hana hugged Kusanali as she broke down into tears. "It's okay now Kusanali, everything is okay now".
