Thus began a pattern that continued through the term, once a week Tristan and Colin would descend on the apartment for dinner and movies, and then on a Friday or Saturday night the group would all go out, Tristan almost always leaving with someone. Rory and Colin continued having coffee or lunch everyday that they had class as they both had the same schedule, neither had made much effort to make more actual friends in their course.

Colin had just sat down beside Rory and was passing her a coffee when his cell rang, he raised his eyebrow as he checked the caller id before answering.

"Hey Man, to what do I owe this early morning call?"

"Really? When are you getting in?"

"No that should work, we don't have classes on a Friday afternoon."

"You can crash at mine, if it's just you."

"Okay"

"Yep."

"Sounds good, see you Friday."

"Visitors?" Rory asked as he set his cell back on the table.

"Yeah, Finn has some work in Boston later this week and wants to visit for the weekend." Colin said, taking a drink of his cooling coffee.

"That sounds like it will be fun, I know you have missed him since he joined the working class." Rory said innocently.

Colin snorted, almost spraying coffee everywhere. "Please call Finn working class to his face when you see him, I will buy all your coffee for a week, no- a month."

"One - I'm pretty sure buying me coffee for a month would cost you a trust fund. And two- I didn't think I would see him?" Rory answered skeptically.

"Oh Finn has requested to meet you. He is unconvinced that I am friends with a girl. Plus, I thought we already had plans involving that new bar on Friday night?"

"I kind of assumed that if Finn was visiting you wouldn't want to hang out with us, I know we are a lot tamer than your normal friends." Rory said with a shrug as she finished drinking her coffee.

"I want to introduce you guys to Finn. Plus we might be a tamer group but I'm pretty sure that even Doyle knows me better than the majority of them do after four years at Yale. It was a lot more partying and not much getting to know the real me."

"And we have got to know the real Colin?"

"You definitely have," Colin answered, then as if he realised what he was saying he backtracked a little. "Come on, I see you almost everyday, you must have learned some things about me by now."

"Just a few things," Rory answered, without looking directly at him. "So have you warned Finn about Paris? Or is he not ready for that experience yet?"

"Is anyone ever ready for that experience?" Colin stated, as they got up from the table in the coffee shop to head towards class.

"No, I don't think they are," Rory said looking at Colin, then after a beat they both started laughing as they walked towards their lecture.

Friday arrived and with it came a flamboyant Finn, he and Colin were sitting in a leather booth near the back of the bar in Cambridge, waiting on the others arriving. They were both nursing glasses of scotch, and as Colin knew what all the others would want he had pre-ordered there drinks when the server had returned with the scotch.

"So these friends of yours, anyone hot?" Finn asked, as he raised his glass to his lips with a playful smirk.

"They are friends Finn, friends. Paris is with Doyle and has been for years, she is also scary. The girl would have your balls for a keyring if you tried anything."
