While the whole PrettyInPunk Nano support group is at 20k+ words, I have just passed 10k words.

As explained in my books, I am writing both Dead In the Middle and The Five for nano. I would've thought it would've made things easier for me to meet the 50k goal and complete one of the books but it honestly hindered my writing.

Since nano had started, my weekly word count has plummeted from around 5k words to barely touching 3k (without forcing myself). My chapters have also gotten shorter! They've surprisingly went from 3k down to 1k. Of course, the chapters may be more boring now.

This is my first nano so I'm not surprised that any of this is happening because I didn't know what to expect, nor has it discouraged me from trying again next year. This is more of a learning experience about myself and I'm excited to see how far I can get this year.

After nano's over, I'll probably take a week or two off so I can relax my brain (probably not though)
